Kissing Madeline by Lex Martin ~ RELEASE DAY BLITZ & REVIEW

Title: Kissing Madeline (Dearest, #3)
Author: Lex Martin
Release Date: April 27, 2015
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Cover Design by: Krista Ritchie

What’s the worst thing about wanting a sexy NFL football player? Everyone else wants him, too. After catching my boyfriend getting deep-throated by a skanky cage girl, I’ve learned my lesson – never date a professional athlete. Never. Besides, I have more important things to worry about, like not blowing my shot to make it as a broadcast reporter. I won’t let anything get in my way, not even the new “it boy” of the NFL and my hot-as-hell neighbor. What's the worst thing about getting death glares from his new neighbor? It doesn't make him want her any less. I’ve worked my ass off to make it to the pros. The last thing I need is the complication of a relationship, especially since my last one was a total train wreck. But I can’t stop thinking about the feisty girl next door with the smart mouth. And I’d love nothing more than to show her what to do with that mouth. Friends with benefits might be the best idea he’s ever had. Or the worst.   Kissing Madeline is a companion novel to DEAREST CLEMENTINE and FINDING DANDELION. Each book is a stand-alone.

Daren...Best Book Boyfriend EVER!!!

Hot Football Player - Check
Super Sweet - Check
Caring and Compassionate - Check
Giver of Multiple Orgasms - Check, Check, Check

Kissing Madeline is the third book in the Dearest Series and tells the story of Daren and Madeline. We are first introduced to Daren and Maddie in the first two books, but what you don't get is that these two have more history than we are lead to believe. In Kissing Madeline we find out that history and get so much more!!!

I wasn't a huge fan of Daren because of his history but he totally redeemed himself in this book! He learned the error of his ways and made up for it, big time. I loved how he was able to get Maddie to let lose and bring out the "wildcat" in her. Maddie is the girl you want as your best friend. She is caring, thoughtful, charming, and funny.

This book is like the hail mary, game winning touchdown and I just want to grab the football, spike it, and give Lex an ass slap because she out did herself! The story was well written, the story line flowed perfectly, and the characters were amazing! I highly recommend this book, along with Dearest Clementine and Finding Dandelion, the other two books in the Dearest Series.

Kissing Madeline is the third book in the Dearest series by Lex Martin. Each book in the series is contemporary romance and can be read as a standalone. In this sequel, we follow Madeline and Daren, characters whom share some sort of relationship with the characters from the previous books. Madeline and Daren are two very strong-headed characters and their drive is solely concentrated on building their career. I love their passion for their careers. This new adult novel isn't based solely on romance. That's not to say that the romance wasn't strong in this book. There were also some rather steamy scenes, not gonna lie. But I love the little things that has been added to make the story more believable and real.

For instance, the character development was rather significant. It's always important to have a balance of work and life. While working hard with hardly any breaks will benefit you in the long run, it would also squeeze you dry quicker. Hence, I think Madeline really had to go through that change of letting go which I really liked.

Without saying, the chemistry between the two characters were one of the strongest points of the book. It's easy to feel whether two characters are great together when you experience something whenever they have a conversation or just spend time with each other. My favourite moment would definitely have to be the interview at the beginning. Their relationship is straight up adorable yet electrifying at the same time.

For the most part, this was a great new adult read. However, I did have quite a few problems with it. The storyline was quite predictable for the second half of the book. I was able to figure things out before shit hits the fan and I'm sure that I won't be the only one. The fact that Madeline wasn't able to figure it out until she was told the truth was rather disappointing. Like I said, this was a pretty good read and I'm sure it'll hook some of you in. If you're already interested, I'll recommend picking up the first book and starting from there.

Kissing Madeline is a sweet read. I loved the dynamitc between the Madeline and Daren. I thought that the two of them were sweet while dorky together. They had their issues to overcome while also trying to stay focused on what was infront of them. they had outside forces trying to tear them apart even when they didn't know they were together. I thought the book was whitty while sweet at the same time. I give this book 4 stars it will defiantly be a book that I will reread.

This is the third book in the series by Lex Martin. We first met Daren in Dearest Clementine. When you first read Dearest Clementine, which you should in order of the series, you don't like Daren too much. In the end, you wanted to like him. I'm glad he got his own story.

Daren meets Madeline after they both go through a rough break up. Neither one wants something serious but they can't deny the connection that they have with each other. One night, one thing leads to another and they can no longer avoid that strong sexual attraction.

Love is never easy is it? For Daren and Madeline they learn first hand how they need to let go of the past and learn to trust again. But will it be too late? Can their love overcome the chaos that will ensue?

You'll have to read it to find out what happened. But remember start with Dearest Clementine and Finding Dandelion first.

DEAREST CLEMENTINE (Dearest, #1 - Clementine & Gavin)

 Amazon | Nook | Kobo | Paperback

Dearest Clementine

Twenty-year-old Clementine Avery doesn't mind being called bitchy and closed off. It's safe, and after being burned by her high school sweetheart and stalked by a professor her freshman year of college, safe sounds pretty damn good. Her number one rule for survival? No dating. That is until she accidentally signs up for a romance writing class and needs material for her latest assignment. Sexy RA Gavin Murphy is more than happy to play the part of book boyfriend to help Clem find some inspiration, even if that means making out...in the name of research, of course. As Gavin and Clem grow closer, they get entangled in the mystery surrounding a missing Boston University student, and Clem unwittingly becomes a possible target. Gavin tries to show Clem she can handle falling in love again, but she knows she has to be careful because her heart’s at stake…and maybe even her life.

FINDING DANDELION (#2 - Jax and Dani)

  Amazon | Nook | Kobo | Paperback

Finding Dandelion Official Cover

When soccer all-star Jax Avery collides with Dani Hart on his twenty-first birthday, their connection is instantaneous and explosive. For the first time in years, Jax isn’t interested in his usual hit-it and quit-it approach. But Dani knows better. Allowing herself a night to be carefree and feel the intensity of their attraction won’t change anything when it comes to dealing with a player. So when Jax doesn’t recognize Dani the next time he sees her, it shouldn’t be a total shock. The fact that he’s her new roommate’s brother? That’s a shock. Dani doesn’t regret that night with Jax, just the need to lie about it. Since her roommate has made it clear what she thinks about her brother’s “type” of girl, the last thing Dani wants is to admit what happened. Jax knows he’s walking a fine line on the soccer team. One more misstep and he’s off the roster, his plans to go pro be damned. Except he can’t seem to care. About anything… except for the one girl who keeps invading his dreams. Despite Jax’s fuzzy memory of his hot hookup with his sister’s friend, he can’t stay away from her, even if that means breaking his own rules. But there are bigger forces at work–realities that can end Dani’s college career and lies that can tear them apart. Jax realizes what he’s losing if Dani walks away, but will he sacrifice his future to be with her? And will she let him if he does?
