LOVE MACHINE by Kendall Ryan - REVIEW TOUR

A best-friends-to-lovers standalone romance from New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan. She says she needs some help ... in the bedroom. Come again? No, really come again. Sweet, nerdy, lovable Keaton. She's my best friend and has been for years. Sure she likes numbers and math, and thinks doing other people's taxes is fun. And I like ... none of that stuff. She's obsessed with her cat and reads novels I'll never understand, and yet we just click. There's no one I'd rather share breakfast burritos with or binge watch hours Netflix. She's my person. And so when she takes off her glasses and asks me to help her improve her skills in the bedroom, I barely have to think about it. Of course I'll help her. There's no one better for the job. I've been there for her through everything, why should this be any different? But what happens when she's ready to take her new-found confidence and move on?

Such a fun friends to lovers story where the nerdy girl gets the guy! I found myself laughing out loud so many times and Slate is super swoony! I very much enjoyed the story and the characters. They had amazing chemistry! But I was missing a big wow factor. Something to make it stand out from all the other romantic comedies I've read and I have read a lot. But overall, it was a very enjoyable and entertaining read!

I am loving this rockstar series by Jessica Prince! She brings to live these wonderful characters, who sometimes you really want to hate but secretly still like them....Killian....He could be such a demanding jerk! But he is pretty lucky he was able to redeem himself otherwise...*shakes fist*

I enjoyed the story very much! It was well written, had a great plot, some twists and turns thrown in there. It has the drama and even a few laughs. There was something that just didn't grab me compared to the first two books but I still very much enjoyed it. I am looking forward to what this author gives us next!

“You’re just too much fun to tease, Thumbelina. Every time I talk to you, your face and neck get all… hot and red.” His thumb scraped slowly along my cheekbone, his eyes shooting down to my lips. “I noticed you don’t get this outta sorts with the other guys. Only me. Why do you think that is?”
“I-I, um, don’t know what you’re talking about.”
The corner of his mouth trembled like he was fighting back a smile or laugh. “That so? Then why does your soft skin feel like it’s on fire, sweetness?”
God, he was so damn close. And he smelled so damn good, like whiskey and spicy, citrusy cologne. “I’m just…” Just what? my brain screamed. For the love of all that’s holy, think of words, Gina! “… hot-blooded.” Sweet, merciful mother of pearl! Had I really just said that?
“That you are,” he mumbled in a low, husky voice. “That you certainly fuckin’ are.”
My mouth went dry as a desert. Trying to swallow was like trying to force a wad of cotton down my throat. “Wha—uh, what’s happening here?”
He took another step, coming so close everything about him overwhelmed my senses. “If you don’t know, I’m really off my game. And I’m never off my game.”
After doing a crazy impression of a goldfish, I somehow managed to pick my jaw up off the floor long enough to ask, “Are you hitting on me?”
With his next step, his shoes bumped into the toes of my heels, forcing me to move backward until the balcony railing dug into my behind. Killian placed his hands on either side of my hips and leaned in closer. “You can play coy all you want, but you can’t fool me. You know that’s exactly what I’m doing. And I know you want me just as bad as I want you. It’s written in red all over your cheeks. There’s a damn good reason why I’m the only one of the guys you can’t manage a full sentence around.” My heart threatened to beat through my chest, and I was pretty sure my panties were about to spontaneously combust.
“What do you say we have a little fun tonight, huh? Something tells me you need it,” he whispered before the tip of his tongue peeked out and teased the skin behind my ear. “I’ve been dying to see what you wear under that little barista getup for months.”
“Y-you have?” I asked, my eyes nearly bugging out of my skull.
“Fuck yeah.” It came out in an almost aggressive growl as he closed the last few inches of distance between us, pushing his body flush against mine. A surprised gasp passed my lips at the feel of his thick, steely erection pressing against my belly before quickly turning into a moan when he bent his knees so his cock could brush at the apex of my thighs.
What do you say we have a little fun tonight?
His question kept replaying in my head. I couldn’t remember the last time I had fun. My life was all about responsibility and stress and constant worry.
It had been so long since I had a bit of fun without feeling guilty for it that I barely remembered what it felt like. His proposition suddenly held more appeal than it should. Killian Everett was all kinds of wrong for me. He was a player, the very definition of a man whore.
But I desperately wanted a little fun. I wanted to forget my shitty luck, and how life had a tendency to kick me even though I was already down. And I couldn’t help but think that maybe Killian was just the man to give me that.

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all.
Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.
In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand.
Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

A Change of Pace (Northern Lights Collection) by Freya Barker - RELEASE DAY BLITZ & REVIEW

Title: A Change of Pace
Series: Northern Lights Collection
Stand alone
Author: Freya Barker
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 16, 2018

Once a man who lived by the letter of the law.
Newt Tobias will do anything for his little girl. Even take early retirement, sell his city home, and move to cottage country, hoping that the simpler life will provide a better balance for his troubled teenage daughter.
Yet, not long after they’ve settled, he finds himself toe-to-toe with a stubborn, fiery tempered woman with pretty brown eyes.
Once a recluse preferring to live alone.
Working with troubled adolescents, Frederique Marchand doesn’t suffer fools and won’t put up with bullies. Especially handsome strangers like Newt who think they can run roughshod over her. She loves her work, but on her own time she much prefers the company of her menagerie of animals.
But with the welfare of a teenager at stake, she must put aside rocky first impressions and work with a man who needs her as much as she’ll come to need him.

Review by: Erin

Once again I am left stunned by the words I have just read. This author never ceases to amaze me with her stories. She has the ability to take ordinary words, string them together, and produce something extraordinary. Her stories are always exceptional. Real people. Older (ha ha my age although I don't feel old at all at 41). Real life problems. Illness, teenagers, bills. You know, the nitty gritty of life. She tackles those issues while creating a relationship between two people that leaves me astounded. Love is possible no matter anyone's situation and Ms. Barker excels at proving that over and over. If you haven't read any of her books, all I can say is you are missing out on something beautiful.

Wow, what a nice story. I really loved this one

Newt Tobias quit his job as a cop because his daughter needed him. So he took early retirement and moved his 14-year-old daughter to a nice cottage town because they both needed a fresh start. But moving away and thinking things would change when he moved houses and towns was not exactly how it goes. And his little girl needed help urgently.
That is where Frederique Marchand (Freddy) comes in. Freddy is a therapist but not just any therapist, she uses her dog Boulder to help with her patient's recovery. When the school asked her to have a talk with Millie she knew that this little girl needed her. But she needed to speak to the father first. And low and behold not who she expected, the same arrogant man who screamed at her in the parking lot when she went shopping.

What happens next is a story filled with heartbreak, sadness but also about recovery, healing and so much more. As much as Freddy is helping Newt and Millie they too are helping her, as Freddy has her own past and her own tragedy that might just not be the end.

This story has everything in it, not just as mentioned earlier, but also some b**ch slapping, some kidnapping and so much more. Definitely a story that captured me from start to finish.
