Review by: Flavia

I love this series, from the first book, till the latest one.
Lexi thought she was blessed with her life. A husband she loved, a life she had always wanted and a family that is always there whenever she needed it. But she was missing one thing. The one thing she has always wanted, a Baby. She and Chris have been trying for a while now but it just doesn't seem like its working. And things have not been good with them for a while now. He is always working, never there when she needs him and doesn't attend any family gatherings with her. Until she discovers his secret. A secret that led her to immediately leave him and move into her sister's flat. Where she meets Linkin Stone. He looks like the definition of a bad boy, but looks can be deceiving. As she gets to know him, she discovers someone caring, loving, protector and hot damn sexy as hell. And the chemistry between them is off the charts, and she can't wait to have 'the sex' with him.
Linkin Stone is doing everything to keep his family together. His mother and brothers and himself have just moved to Town a couple of months ago and he is working two jobs to pay off a debt that his step-father has saddled them with. So he doesn't actually have time to have a personal life. Until he meets Lexi, his firecracker. She is everything that he wants in a women, strong, sassy, sexy and will do anything for her family. So when she decides to have the one thing that she has always wanted, a baby and wants to get a sperm donor, why not volunteer. But Lexi gives him one week to prove that he can be a father to her baby, if she decides to give him a shot.
This book was so good, it was sweet, romantic, sexy, the chemistry was freaking off the charts between Linkin and Lexi. And man oh man have i said how much i love Grandma. She is freaking hilarious. I cannot wait to read more about the sisters and their lives. Definitely an awesome read.

“It’s time to get this thing started!” the little old woman hollers behind me, walking by and swatting me on the ass. “Oh, that’s nice,” she adds with an ornery grin and a wink. What in the hell is going on here? “We’re ready. Go!” “Go?” I ask, confused, and rubbing the back of my neck with my hand. “Strip! It’s why you’re here, right? My granddaughter, Alexis, is celebrating her divorce, and what a better way to rejoice than with a stripper! Oh, that agency was right. You are a delicious, big ol’ slab of meat. So, take it off! Take it off!” the woman chants, the girls standing off to the side giggling and chugging whatever is in their glasses (probably alcohol). “Grandma, this is completely not necessary,” Lexi says from the chair. “Zip it! It’s completely necessary to welcome you back into the dating world with some naked man meat. This is a cellllllllebrationnnnnnn, Alexis.” “Stop calling me that. I’m not even divorced yet.” “Semantics.” Walking up to her granddaughter, the old woman whispers loudly, “Hey, maybe you’ll get to sleep with the stripper. He’s super hunky with a great ass,” she adds with another wink sent my way. “Please don’t do this,” Lexi begs from her chair. “Too late. I’ve already paid the beefcake. Just sit there and enjoy. I know I’m ready,” Grandma says, pulling a folding chair nearby so she gets an up-close and personal view. My heart is hammering in my chest as I take in the room. The other occupants are staring at me expectantly, while Grandma grabs her phone, presumably to take pictures or video. Strip in a room full of woman? For Lexi? Fuck yes! Suddenly, the music changes to Warrant. “Cherry Pie” blares through the speakers, and I realize I’m at a fork in the road. I can get the hell out of this apartment, away from the crazy old woman who’s apparently into buying her grandkids strippers, and hide away from Lexi and her whacked family for the rest of my time in this building. Or, I can stay. And strip. A broad smile stretches across my face as I take in the anxiously nervous woman sitting before me. I wonder why she hasn’t removed her blindfold, and upon closer inspection, I realize her hands are also tied to the back of the chair. Perfect.

Review by: Gina

This author never ceases to amaze me! Where she comes up with these storylines, I have no idea, but I don't want her to ever stop! When I started this book I was torn if I wanted to savior it or devour it, so I did a little bit of both!

When reading a book it's only natural to try to predict the story while your reading and it was impossible for me to do that with this book. When I thought the story was going to go one way, it took a sharp left turn and went another way. The author did an excellent job on keeping me on my toes for the ENTIRE story! I loved all the thought and detail the author put into the story. At the end, it all paid off. It all came together so perfectly and I couldn't have ask for anything more.

Through out the entire story, I felt sorrow and anger and frustration and love for these characters and what they were going through. There was a time I was torn on who's side I should be on, but I just couldn't choose! There was no way to choose! I loved that the author was able to draw out such emotion from me! That is a sign of a great book! If you are looking for a book with an intense storyline, tons of emotions, and  full of twists and turns this is a MUST READ book!

Man Card by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby - FMR REVIEW

BLURB

A sexy new stand-alone comedy.

Ash:
I still don't know how it happened. One minute I was arguing with my arrogant competitor--our usual trash-talk over who deserves the larger commission. But somehow I went from throwing down to kneeling down...
It can never happen again. I don't even like Braht. He's too slick. He's a manipulating mansplaining party boy in preppy clothes.
So why can't I get him out of my head?

Braht:
There are two things I know without question. One: Ash and I are destined for each other. Two: never trust a man with a unibrow.
Ash is my missing my piece. She's the sweet cream to my gourmet espresso. And nothing gets me going faster than her contempt for me. They don't call her the Ashkicker for nothing.
Eventually I'll win her over...if my past doesn't ruin everything first.

REVIEW BY TATIA

Man Card is a bit different from Man Hands. We're getting Ash and Braht's story. Most of the stories we read around about big, strong, alpha men, and usually strong, independent women. We have the strong and independent woman. As far as alpha men, Braht is a bit of an alpha, but I see him as having more effeminate qualities than most. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just different.
I felt like these two had a bit more back story than what I'm used to reading. There was a lot of pulling and pushing back and forth, mainly on Ash's part. She was hesitant and a bit scared. For good reason, but I wish she had taken her leap a bit sooner. There were parts I felt were a bit unnecessary, but who am I to say so. This story was intriguing and mysterious. I felt myself wanting to skip parts so that I could figure out the missing pieces of the puzzle. I was definitely invested in finding out what happened.

My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards. We met at a wedding—him sitting on the groom’s side, me sitting on the bride’s. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction. I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me. We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number. I thought about him often, but after my last relationship, I’d sworn off of charming, cocky, gorgeous-as-sin men. A year later, Hunter and I met again at the birth of our friends’ baby. Our attraction hadn't dulled one bit. After a whirlwind trip, he demanded a real phone number this time. So I left him with my mother’s—she could scare away any man with her talks of babies and marriage—and flew back home. I’d thought it was funny, until the following week when he rang the bell at Mom’s house for Sunday night dinner. The crazy, gorgeous man had won over my mother and taken an eight-week assignment in my city. He proposed we spend that time screwing each other out of our systems. Eight weeks of mind-blowing sex with no strings attached? What did I have to lose? Nothing, I thought. It’s just sex, not love. But you know what they say about the best laid plans…   ADD TO GOODREADS

Under The Lights
Heroes don’t last long around here…
Fall in love with the sexiest girl in New Orleans?
Check.
Prepare to die for her?
Double-check.
Larissa is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen.
She’s the rising star of the Pussycat Angels, the hottest burlesque show in the French Quarter.
I’ll never forget the first time I saw her.
The curve of her breast outlined by sparkling rhinestones.
Slim hips wrapped in black fishnets.
Long, dark hair…
She’s the Dark Angel who stole my heart.
Her body is intoxicating, our love overwhelming.
Cat eyes and blood red lips.
Sizzling fingers on white-hot skin.
I couldn’t keep my hands off her…
But her fame had a dark side,
A sinister shadow lurking under the lights.
I would do anything to save her…
He would do anything to see me dead.

Excerpt:

“You’re so good.” Her voice is soft, and she traces her finger along the bandage before lifting her blue eyes to meet mine. “Thank you for buying me lunch. For saving me…” Without warning, she steps forward and wraps her arms around my waist, pressing her face against my chest, and I don’t hold back. She fits perfectly in my arms, and I inhale the sweet scent of her hair just before I press my lips to the top of her head. Her voice is muffled against my shirt. “It feels so safe here.” “Lara,” I whisper in her hair. “I want to keep you safe.” She pulls back, and I loosen my hold. But she doesn’t leave. She puts her hand against my cheek, lifting her chin as she rises higher on her toes. Hell if I make her work for it. Leaning forward, I capture her lips. They part, and our tongues meet, curling together as I hug her closer to me. She exhales a little noise, and her fingers thread in the sides of my hair. I trace a line with my lips to her ear. “I want you so much,” I whisper. She turns, searching for my mouth, and I kiss her. She fists my shirt in her hands, pulling it up and placing her palm against my bare stomach. I groan deeply, and my hands slide under her ass. I lift her against my chest, and her legs go around my waist. Our kisses are wildfire, fast-moving, lips pulling, hungry for something more. Something just within reach. She moving subtly against my waist, and the blood rushes downward. I’m hard and she’s riding me, stroking my erection with her crotch. “Lara,” I groan. Her lips still, and she holds my cheeks, looking into my eyes. “That night on the catwalk… The way you looked at me…” My brow collapses at the memory. “You’re the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” “I only want you to see me.” Her lips are pink and swollen from my kisses. I lean forward and kiss her again, tasting her like she’s water in the desert. She exhales a little noise, and it’s a charge straight to my cock. I love her lips. I love her mouth. I want more. I want all of her. “Does your waist hurt?” She leans forward, running her nose along my jaw. “Nothing hurts. Everything is amazing.”

REVIEW BY GINA:

This book will take you on a whirlwind ride of emotions! One thing I have noticed with this authors books are that she starts off  really fun and playful but once you get into the core of the story. And its not just "oh, I wasn't expecting that.". It's more like "OMG!  WHAT IS HAPPENING???". She always drops the biggest bomb on her readers and this book especially, had the biggest boom to me!

I really enjoyed the characters. They were likable and relatable. They had a lot of chemistry together but it was really fun to read the banter. The author did a fanatic job on writing in the secondary characters. While reading, I kept trying to guess how they fit into the story and when it was revealed it was like a light bulb going off. Everything just fell into place.

Overall, this book was amazing! The writing, storyline, characters, all simply amazing! I highly, highly recommend reading this one!!!

REVIEW BY LEEANN:

Push.. Pull Push.. Pull..
That is what the relationship between Hunter & Natalia starts out as. He pushes and pushes and she pulls away quicker than he can blink.

This is a story about fear. Everyone has it and to some degree it dictates your life choices and how you limit yourself. The fear each of these characters
has is blinding. It has the potential to tear them apart and leave them living lonely and alone for the rest of their lives.

Natalia has had a crappy couple of years which left her divorced and raising her teenage step daughter. She doesn’t just have herself to consider. She is a fabulous mom
and even her step daughter believes she deserves nothing but absolute happiness in her life.
Hunter has suffered more loss in his 20 something years than most people and it has shaped the man he has become. When he meets Natalia, everything he thought he
knew changes. He never saw her coming and never saw a future for himself where he would meet his literal soul mate.

Even though this is not technically a YA romance it is all about growing up and maturing into a functioning couple that lets go of the fear and grabbing onto life with both
hands. It is about learning to make each day count and seeing life as a blessing rather than just living out each day waiting for the bad to happen. This couple although fictional, is
a great example on how to push past the barriers and learn to live life to the fullest and love like there is no tomorrow.

If you are looking for a story that makes you laugh, makes you emotional and leaves you feeling like everything is good in the world than you will love this story! Well worth one clicking!!
