EGOMANIAC by Vi Keeland • Review Blitz

      Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000038_00072]

The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office. I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.

Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant. Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.

Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated. Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent. I was swindled out of ten grand.

The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place. I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind. I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.

The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages. The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing. And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

Everything this author writes is like GOLD! The story is funny, sweet, and deliciously hot!!! They say first impression are everything and boy, did Emerie leave a last impression on Drew. From the way the story stared out, I was hooked! It started of as such a fun read! As we got deeper into the story, deeper into the characters lives I just grew more attached!

The characters were great! Emerie seemed like a more quite and reserved kinda girl but she surprised me. She had a lot of spark to her. Beck was simply adorable! I wanted to hit Alexa over the head with her over priced shoes and last but not least, Drew. He definitely fit into the egomaniac roll. He might have been cocky but he was actually really sweet and of course very alpha male!

The story line was perfection! There were moments I was laughing out loud, moments I had to stop and fan myself, and moments I just wanted to start screaming at the characters. The story evoked a lot of emotions especially a strong hatred towards Alexa. But overall, it was really great! Vi Keeland writes another amazing story! She never disappoints!

Shamefully the last non-cowritten books I read by Vi Keeland were the Cole Series when they released ... I know what the heck was I thinking right?! What took me so long to get back on the Vi-Train & read some of her solo books?!!!! Don't worry I slapped myself for you. *lowers head in shame*

Reading Egomaniac reminded me of why I enjoyed Vi's writing in the first place. Her writing has that addicting quality to it where you feel like you're watching a movie that you just can't take your eyes off of. And the characters? Oh man .. DREW JAGGER.. just take a moment and breathe that name in. If you're like me, you just started fanning yourself automatically because a guy with a name like that? You know the book is gonna be a damn scorcher for sure lol the man does not disappoint! Yep, another name added to my ever growing list of book boyfriends.

Emerie is pretty awesome too! You'll love her the moment you meet her. She's so full of spice, which adds to the tension between them. In return we get some flirtatious banter that made me crave for their next interaction!! I loved it so hard!!!!

Egomaniac is a definite must read for every romance reader. Especially those who enjoy some humor with their sweet, you will love Drew & Emerie's story like I did!

Real Good Love by Meghan March • REVIEW BLITZ & REVIEW

Real duet complete series

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes a sexy new duet with a hero you won't want to miss. I’ve had my fair share of bad boys, but nothing prepared me for what it was like to be with a real good man. Logan Brantley changed everything. Somewhere along the way, what started as a fling became the best part of my life. He makes me want all the things I’ve never had, like forever and happily ever after, but nothing worth having comes easily. Everyone is betting on us to fail, but I’m ready to fight for this real good love.

Real Good Love is the conclusion of the Real Duet and should be read following Real Good Man.

I’m a woman on a mission when I step off my last flight at six o’clock at night, annoyed it took me an entire freaking day to get here since I made my plans at the last minute. As soon as I leave the rental car desk, I’m headed for my first destination. Logan’s shop. He’s never going to know what hit him. My skirt is short, my heels are tall, and my hair, skin, and nails are perfect from the pampering I managed to sneak in this week. I pull into the parking lot an hour and a half later, mostly because I was so busy singing along to every kick-ass female anthem on my playlist that I missed the turn and went fifteen miles in the wrong direction. But no one needs to know that little detail. The lights are still on, and Logan’s truck is parked in its normal spot alongside the building. No other cars remain in the lot. I pull out my phone and switch it out of airplane mode. I told myself I kept it there all day because I was worried about the safety of my flights and obviously because of the FAA regulations, but that’s total bull. I didn’t trust myself not to answer what must be at least a few messages from Logan. I wanted this to be a surprise. Like when Logan thought I might be pregnant, this is a discussion that needs to happen in person. A few text messages pop up from him immediately, and they’re progressively more . . . let’s call it assertive. My Sexy Man: Bruce, call me. My Sexy Man: Seriously, babe. Call me. My Sexy Man: CALL ME. My Sexy Man: This radio silence shit will not fly. Call me, Bruce. My Sexy Man: Banner Regent, don’t even try to dodge me. I know where you are, and I will come to you and show you how a real man handles this situation.   A smile spreads over my face. I’ve come to terms with a few things in the last twenty-four hours, and one of them is that I don’t care if I’m the first one to say those words I’ve been holding back. I love Logan Brantley, and I’m not going to let another day go by without telling him. To his face. After I park, I slide out of the car, careful not to pull a Britney and flash anyone my vag because I’m going commando under this skirt, and strut my ass up to the entrance. I push on the door that opens into the waiting room, but it doesn’t budge. Locked. Well, dammit, that’s not part of my plan. I bang on it, but no one comes. The beat of whatever rock song he’s listening to is thumping through the walls. I pull my phone out of my wristlet and text him back. Banner: Open the damn door. A response pops up in seconds. My Sexy Man: What door? Banner: I’m waiting.

From USA Today bestselling author Meghan March comes a sexy new duet. We've all had the bad boys, now it's time for a Real Good Man. Fall for a woman over text messages? No way in hell. Reality can never be as good at the fantasy, right? Wrong. It’s better. Banner Regent is smart, funny, and she’s so far out of my league, she might as well be royalty. I’m a mechanic from Kentucky. She’s a New York City party girl. We were never supposed to meet, but one text started something neither of us saw coming. How do you seduce the woman who already has everything? Show her what it’s like to be with a real good man.

Real Good Man is book one of the Real Duet. Logan and Banner's story will conclude in Real Good Love, releasing January 17, 2017.

Review by: Tatia

All I want to do is thank Meghan March for not making us wait long for this second half of the duet. After the ending in Real Good Man, I was itching to read Real Good Love. I needed to know what happened! If you must make it end in a cliffhanger, this is the way to do it.

Real Good Love is full of drama! It's everywhere! In the streets, at home, at work, the bowling alley, the grocery store. Everywhere Logan and Banner turn someone or something is stirring up more trouble. They're new to this whole relationship ordeal and are just trying to figure out the ins and outs of it all. Last thing they need is every single woman in Gold Haven trying to get in between them and scare Banner off. They obviously haven't formally introduced themselves to Banner or else they would know that she's not a woman that scares easily or at all. If you don't watch it she'll have a box of dicks at your doorstep faster than you'll be able to hide them and word around town spreads about it.

These books were too short. That's my only complaint. It's a case of the "I love this book and never want it to end"-itis. Meghan March gave us everything I wanted. I love some small town drama and seeing how the couple handles it all in the midst of learning how to cope with each other, what makes the other one tick, what really pisses them off and turns the hero into an all out dominating alpha male. We got everything! After reading this I'll have to go back and meet Holly and Creighton in the Dirty Billionaire trilog
y. I need their story too!

This is the conclusion of Banner and Logan's story and it took a surprising twist. It went in a completely different direction than what I was expecting.

While the book was still smoking hot, we got a lot  more drama and more suspense compared to the first book. There was a big surprise between Banner and her neighbor. There was a part of me that felt something was off there. But as far as the rest of the drama going down in Gold Haven, I enjoyed that. Like I said, the book took a turn that I wasn't expecting but I really enjoyed it. The story was written well and all the plot points came together and made sense.

Overall, this was a really great duet. Real Good Man needs to be read before Real Good Love but it is definitely worth the read.

This is a love story at its finest.  These two characters couldn't have been more different or more perfect for each other. I loved how seamlessly they fit into each other's lives.  I really respect how Meghan was able to make this story; tense, exciting, mysterious, frustrating, and sometimes scary but never at the expense of Banner and Logan's relationship.

You don't get stories like this often, where the couple is an unbreakable unit no matter what the world around them throws their way.  It was refreshing to see that.  It made the story more enjoyable and one I couldn't put down!

This was a fantastic two part series and I was thrilled to finally get Logan's story and to get more of Banner, she is by far one of my new favorite characters.

This is book 2 and I love how it picked up right we're we left and we didn't have to wait for this she released it a few weeks later!!!! Thank u Meghan March for being an amazing author!!!! Banner and Logan's story picks up where Banner leave to NYC to find she's a over night millionaire....and Logan worries if she will return. That's not the only drama in this story there's still the drug dealer???? More to this story effects Logan and not in a good way. Gold Haven is in the spot light and not in a good way.  love how Meghan weaves in a few things and connects all the dots and leaves us with a beautiful story w/ so many layers.

  Real Duet masterpiece blue

Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She's also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she's ever had. Rock bottom.

Liam had set up shop there.

After an accident left him injured and unable to work, it wasn’t long before he ended up on the street with his dreams in the gutter.

This was it.

This was his life.

Until the day he met Max Porter—a man who appeared to have it all. They didn’t meet so much as made eye contact as Max sneered at Liam, the bum occupying precious space on the sullied New York City street.

When Max stepped into oncoming traffic, a lesser man might’ve let him. But Liam risked his life to save Max only to be left to die without a second thought.

When Liam woke up days later, he wasn’t himself…at least he wasn’t in his body.

He was in Max’s.

And with Liam’s body on life support, there was only one logical conclusion: Max was trapped in Liam’s comatose body.

Somehow the twisted hands of fate had given Liam a second chance; a chance to have it all. But with all the perks of Max’s life also came his problems. Finding balance in his new identity was challenged more so once Liam fell for Waverly, Max’s beautiful ex.

Could Liam live out his life as another man or would he pull the plug and let fate decide?

Would he lose his chance at true love?

Would he lose the chance to have it all?

Review by: Erin

This is my first 6 star read of the year. And it is so fan-freaking-tabulous!!! I was crying so much, my daughter asked me if I was okay. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. These characters will forever be etched on my soul. Waverly is a wonderful character who is simply fed up with Max and his arrogance. Max is a complete d-bag. Liam is the new love of my life! He is a phenomenal character. You can feel the love that went into writing his story. I don't want to give anything away, as this is an experience you will want to have for yourself. And that is what this book was. An experience. I felt as though I was in the room with these characters, not reading about them. This story is an incredibly emotional journey for not one, but two people. There were times that I thought I would have to put the book down to recover from my tears, but immediately knew that would never happen. So I read on through the downpour. I can't stress enough that you will need every available tissue within a 50 mile radius on hand before starting this epic journey.

Let's be honest here, I was a little nervous about whether or not the author was going to be able to pull this storyline off. Was it going to be confusing, would it die somewhere in the middle of the story and be a complete disaster? While I was really excited, I was worried it wasn't going to work.

Well let me tell you, B.N. Toler pulled it off beautifully. They way she was able to write from Liam's point of view while being in Max's body. The way she connected every single character from Max to the homeless woman Pearl. You think you know how things are going to turn out, that love conquers all, but heartbreak has to occur right along side of it.

I don't rate books 5 stars very often, so please believe me when I say this book will make you take a step back in life and question everything around you.

Scooting up, his body was gloved to mine, his mouth to my ear as he reached around me and pulled my left hand, placing it over the shifter, then he took my right hand and settled it over the throttle. “Think of this like a dance,” he instructed me, his voice husky. “Dance involves steps, coordination, knowing your partner. This isn’t much different.”

“Says you,” I griped. “This is hardly a dance partner. This is a death trap that could kill us.”

He chuckled, the sound low and deep, making my core clench. “You’re sitting on over five-hundred pounds of machinery here. Think about how much time and effort went into building this; the way someone had to know this bike so intricately to put it all together and make it move.”

“Just because they knew it doesn’t mean I do.” I appreciated the intricacy of the bike, but appreciating and driving it were very different things.

“I just mean there’s power here. You can make these 500 pounds of metal move if you want it to, if you trust yourself enough.”

He left my hands and softly ran his fingers up my arms to my shoulders. “It lives and moves so long as you let it, so long as you lead it, just like a good dance partner. Don’t think about the moves you need to make . . . feel them. Let the bike tell you when it’s time to shift.”

His fingers glided down my sides until they took a firm hold of my waist causing my breath to hitch as my back arched slightly. “It’s give and release, Waverly,” he went on, his voice deep and gravely. “You have to feel when it’s time to give and when it’s time to let go.”

Darting my tongue out, I wet my dry lips. How did he make shifting gears sound so hot? How in the heck was I supposed to manage this machine with Liam murmuring sexual innuendo in my ear? I wished I could somehow turn around and take him on the bike.

“You know, this would be an epic opening to a porn flick,” I announced causing him to burst into laughter.

“I hadn’t thought of that.” His body shook as he continued to laugh.

“I guess your mind isn’t as dirty as mine.” I shrugged.

“I guess not. What would the film title be?” he queried.

I twisted my mouth in thought. In my sexiest voice, I twisted my neck so he could see me as I pouted my mouth, “Shifting the Panhead. When good girls learn to ride.”

He choked he was laughing so hard. When he could form words again, he coughed out, “That does sound pretty dirty when you say it like that.”

“Anything can sound dirty when you say it the right way,” I quipped. “Sky,” I moaned. “Concrete,” I continued.

“Okay, okay,” he begged before clearing his throat. “Stop stalling your lesson with your dirty mind and your defiling of perfectly unperverted words.”

I wiggled my ass again. “You love how I defiled the word concrete. Admit it.”

“You keep shimmying your ass like that, this lesson is going to have to end while I go jump in the water.”

Things a bad neighbor can do to you:

1. Have loud parties late at night

2. Refuse to mow his lawn

3. Steal your newspapers

4. Rip your heart out and walk all over it

Katya Tocci is willing to admit that she may have bitten off more than she could chew.

Liam Edenhoff showed her a side of life she'd been missing out on - sex and friendship and tacos. But then he betrayed her.

Wulfric Stone taught her that big surprises can come from unexpected places - like from a surly, aggressive, withdrawn bastard. But then he broke her heart.

Now one of them wants forgiveness, and the other wants forever. And Katya? She just wants to forget.

Who knew neighbors could be so difficult?

This story contains scenes of a graphic sexual nature, multiple uses of coarse language, and quite possibly enough confusion to drive a normal person insane. Reader discretion is advised.

Review by: Kim

I have to admit that I was waiting anxiously for this book. With the way the first one ended, I couldn't wait to see how Katya handled these two men who used her in a way that only real buttheads could.
I have to say I was a little disappointed. Oh don't get me wrong, Wulf and Liam deserved everything they got, but what drew me so deeply into the first book of this series was Katya's truly sweet spirit. Some where Katya lost herself in bitterness.
As I read this book, I began to see real bitchiness and that just made me sad.
The tragedy Katya faces seems to bring her back. And I just want to say...Well done Ms. Fantome for reminding us that every day holds the possibility of a miracle.
Wulf was still insufferable, but then he wasn't quite so awful. And Liam never really changed, but that was predictable.
I love Tori. I want a BFF just like her.
So yeah, this book is a fun, entertaining read, but I felt a little disappointed.

"Have you eaten?” he asked.
“How did you get in here?” she ignored his question and asked her own.
“I have access to the keys for every building we manage. Are you really meeting that thing for dinner?” he asked again.
“Okay, first of all, 'that thing' is a seriously good looking, very successful, and ridiculously nice man – a man who has yet to lie to me and use me,” she pointed out.
“Key word being 'yet'.”
“And second of all, I know for a fact my lease states you have to give me twenty-four hour notice before you just barge in here. If you come in again without my permission, I'm gonna file a complaint,” she warned him. He laughed. Actually laughed. Something Wulfric Stone didn't do very often. She took a deep breath and looked away from his broad smile.
“Please do. I'll direct my HR department to hand deliver it to my desk so I can deal with it
“Are we done here? I have things to do today that don't involve dealing with you,” she snapped. He stepped closer to her.
“You might be even funner now than you were before.”
“That's not funny, and if you can't realize that, then there is literally no hope for you.”
“Ah, implying there is hope.”
“Shut up.”
“Feisty. I love it.”
“I talked to Vieve,” she blurted out. That finally stopped him.
“Oh, really,” was all he said.
“Yup. Went to your place, had a cup of coffee with her,” she said. That seemed to actually surprise him.
“You were in my home?” he checked.
“Yes. Apparently, I could've been spending lots of time there. Very generous of you to give me complete access,” she said. He didn't react, though she noticed the tendon in the side of his neck was taut and straining.
“Yes, well, I've met you. I knew if you ever showed up, it would be a huge hassle with the front desk calling my office and you calling my cell phone and me having to drive across town.
Was just easier that way.”
“Sure. Okay.”
“And how was the coffee? I have it imported.”
Katya stared at the tight tendon for a moment longer. He was so good at putting on a false front, she knew. Looking calm and collected. After all, this was a man who ate million dollar real estate deals before breakfast.
But it was all fake. He was nervous. Deep down, she could tell. Being forceful was just his way of barreling through a problem he didn't actually want to deal with – he could just strong arm her into doing what he wanted. No unnecessary awkwardness. That was Wulf's M.O.
Yeah, well, my M.O. is to make him feel as awkward as humanly possible.
“I can't go to breakfast with you,” she stated, brushing past him and heading down the hallway. He didn't hesitate to follow behind her.
“No shit, it's afternoon – it's too late for brunch, even. But that Brazilian food cart is open for lunches now, we're going -” he started, but she waved her hand over her shoulder as she moved into her bedroom.
"I can't, I'm busy this afternoon. I have to go shopping for a new stove – don't worry, I'll have the bill sent to you,” she joked, turning around and standing in the doorway to her room.
He glared down at her.
“Don't be ridiculous. I'll talk to maintenance, we can get a new stove in by the end of the
week,” he assured her.
“Whatever. I have other plans.”
“Tocci, I'm not -”
“But how about dinner?” she offered.
That seemed to shock him. He stood still for moment, his eyes wandering over her face.
Obviously trying to figure out if she was lying. She offered him a big smile, and that just seemed to throw him even more off guard. He finally narrowed his eyes.
“If I make reservations, you'll be downstairs on time?” he checked.
“No,” she shook her head. “But I can meet you there.”
“Bullshit. You'll stand me up, and I'm not wasting my time, sitting around like an asshole waiting for you,” he said.
“I won't, I promise. I have … a client I'm dealing with this afternoon. I don't know how long it will take,” she told him.
“What about your dinner date with your darling handyman?” he asked. She shrugged.
“I'll figure something out, don't worry about it. I'll have dinner with you.”
“You promise?” he checked, still glaring down at her. She nodded and ran her fingers across her chest in an X motion.
“Cross my heart.”
“Fine. But don't fuck with me, Tocci. You won't like it if I have to come and find you. We have a lot to discuss,” he informed her. She nodded.
“I'm sure we do. What's the dress code?” she asked. Wulf was a 3-Michelin-stars kind of restaurant goer when it came to dinner dates.
“A dress,” he informed her, and then his gaze wandered over her shoulder. She had some clothes laying around on the floor, littered about on the bed. She was gearing up to do laundry. “If you'd like to try on some options, I'd be more than happy to sit and help.”
Katya laughed and slid her hands up either side of the door frame. Wulf followed the motion with his eyes, which grew wide when she leaned towards him.
“Mmmm, that would be fun, wouldn't it?” she chuckled.
“And it's been a very long time since you've been in my bedroom,” she reminded him. He nodded.
“It has.”
“And we never got to have any real fun in here, did we?” she sighed, glancing back at her bed.
“No. No, we did it not.”
“It must make you wonder, though,” she said, dropping her hands and stepping back into the room.
“Wonder what?”
“What kind of fun Liam and I used to have in here.”
There was a split second where she got to see equal parts anger and shock ripple across his features.
Then she slammed the door in his face.

Crazy woman living in an undisclosed location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.
