I think this has to be my favorite Max Monroe book to date!!! There were so many laughs throughout this entire book! I loved the playful back and forth between Scott and Harlow! I am a sucker for good banter in a book and this book was spot on.

The five star tipping point for me was the dramatic twist at the end! It wasn't something I was expecting. It gave the book the extra push from great to fantastic. I needed to know what was going to happen, who was behind it and I couldn't stop until I knew.

Overall, this book had everything...the laughs, the hotness, but also a little mystery! It all came together perfectly. The writing was excellent. Exactly what I expect from Max Monroe. It was a great book and I highly recommend it to everyone, along with all their other books! I don't think you will be disappointed!

“Was he the man who was riding when you got injured, Low?” he questioned, and I internally groaned at his ironic choice in words.
The man who was riding? Good Lord, that sounded terrible. And a little too close to the actual scenario…
“No, sir,” Scott answered, and if the strain in his throat was any indication, he was one breath away from losing himself to laughter. “I was, in fact, not doing the riding when your daughter got injured.”
My father looked at me. “If he wasn’t the one riding, then how do you two know each other?”
Fucking fiddlesticks, I needed everyone to stop saying riding before I fainted from discomfort.

Review by: Leeann

What a stunning conclusion to Scout and Easton’s story. This book picks up exactly where book 1 finished and it most certainly did not disappoint.
It becomes obvious very quickly that all is not as it seems. There are lots of twist, turns and revelations in this book and when they all come out
some of the characters will be left reeling.
I have to say in my opinion that the villain’s in this book have little or no redeeming qualities at all. In fact I was really happy with the outcomes of
most of the face to face confrontations that took place.
There are some devastatingly sad moments that will have you reaching for your tissues, some absolute laugh out loud moments and of course some
cringe worthy moments brought about mostly from conclusion jumping and miscommunications.

The love between Scout and Easton is not easy and they both learn that if it is worth having it is worth working for.
When things work in their relationship it gives a real feel  good tone to the story and the sexy time scenes are good enough to have you all hot and bothered.
I liked that there was no gap in time between book 1 & 2 and if you have not read book 1 you really need to before you get started on this one. If you don’t it
won’t make a lot of sense.
This was a great read and I recommend it to anyone looking for a book with a storyline you can really sink your teeth into and get to the end feeling satisfied that
not only was the story worth reading but all the loose ends are tied up and you are left with a smile on your face.

This book picks up where The Player left off what an amazing second part to this story! The beginning started off a little slow for me. It took several chapters for me to fully get into the story but once it hit, I couldn't let go. There are so many secrets and lies that surface in this book. My head was spinning! The author did a great job on surprising the readers in the second half of this duet. I would have never guessed the things that happened.

I thought the book was well written. The author did a fantastic job keeping me on my toes on how the story was going to play out. I loved the characters and how their relationship grew throughout the story. Overall, I loved the conclusion to Scout and Easton's story! The Player must be read first and I highly recommend it!

A quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Jen is a lawyer. Not her chosen profession, but a safe one that she's good at. It's also the field where she's trying to make a name for herself on her own, which isn't easy with who her father is.
Mark is going through a nasty divorce. How he never saw his ex-wife for the witch she is a mystery to him. No one else around him liked her and that should have been a sign. Last thing he needs is the girl he finds in his office one night. She had to have been snooping around.
These two were good for each other, but so back and forth. While saying that, they still pushed each other to be better, to try better for themselves. This was overall a story that I liked. There were a few issues with some details, but I'm hoping those are fixed before release day.

Review by: Flavia

So I read the previous book in this series, and I enjoyed it. (But this can still be read as a standalone) and this one I enjoyed it too
I just felt that some parts you need a bit more explanation. And some parts where the heroine was upset with the hero was a bit too much.

This story is about a successful lawyer Jen who's passion is actually being an artist. But for some reason she decided to follow in her father's footsteps and maybe also for his approval, and became a lawyer. For most part her life was good, even though being a lawyer wasn't her first choice she was pretty good at it.
Mark was a bar owner and is in the middle of a fight with his ex-wife about money, so his in a bind and he might have to sell his bar to pay her out.

Mark and Jen officially meet when Jen attends a painting class and Mark is the nude model. She can't believe that she meets the rude guy from the previous night. Their relationship starts as more of a friendship, even though they are both attracted to each other, until they end up sleeping together. From there they both have to come to terms with their own issues. Jen about her art and her relationship with her father, and Mark sorting out his problems with his ex.

I enjoyed this story, it was a good book to keep your attention for a Sunday afternoon read, but I found that even though I liked both characters and the story, it lacked some excitement for me. And that's why I gave the book 3.85 Stars

That being said, I really can't wait for the next book which is the chef Roxie and the best friend Liam. There is some history there and especially at the end of this book when we get to see a bit of Roxie's past coming back to hunt her.

So Good (An Alpha Dogs Novel) by Nicola Rendell • COVER REVEAL

IMG_3322.PNG
AP new - synopsis.jpg

On the roof of a house outside Truelove, Maine, master carpenter Max Doyle looks down through a skylight and sees the most beautiful woman he’s ever laid eyes on. She’s naked, she’s gorgeous, and everything about her is perfect, down to the ball-busting tattoo of a rose that wraps around her hip. But it isn’t just any woman making his knees buckle. It’s his best friend, Rosie Madden. And as he stands there, mesmerized and precariously close to toppling off the roof, he knows he’ll never, ever be able to look at her the same way again.

Rosie can’t help but notice that Max is suddenly acting very strange—lots of long stares, totally tongue-tied, and not at all like the slightly cocky hunk she’s proud to call her best friend. She can’t figure it out, until later that night when Max rescues her from the world’s worst date, challenges her to a game of pool, and shows her just exactly what she’s got him thinking about. Repeatedly.

But life is complicated. Rosie’s cat, Julia Caesar, wants to eat Max’s dog Cupcake for an afternoon snack. A dream job threatens to pull them apart. And another glance through the skylight changes everything, one more time. Yet try as they might, they can’t go back to being just friends, because falling in love with the one you’ve always adored?

It feels so good.

Review by: Leeann

What a beautiful second chance romance.

This about Paxton & Steed. They were young, they were in love and they had plans. Then things went drastically wrong, things were said,
actions were taken and lives were never the same again.
Paxton is the kind of character that draws out a range of emotion from the reader. At times I loved her at times I wanted to shake her and tell
her to wake up! Overall though she was easy to empathise with and it was perfectly understandable why she did the things she did throughout
the story.
Steed.. Well he is a modern day single dad who never moved on. Again, he is a character who also brings out a lot of emotion from the reader.
I actually wanted to cry right along with him at times!
This second chance is a very slow burn. It is nice that their relationship redevelops before they address their sexual chemistry.
In saying that, when they do get down to business boy do they get some sexy times! This author writes not only a brilliant storyline with an emotional
backstory, but she can write one hell of a sex scene!

From the very beginning I was drawn into Paxton & Steeds world. As the main characters they were interesting and entertaining but when mixed with the fascinating
range of support characters it took them to a whole new level. The support characters are fantastic and play huge roles in both Paxton & Steeds lives. I really hope they
each get their own stories told as well. I felt like a few of them had some amazing stories just waiting to burst to the forefront!

This is my very 1st Kelly Elliott book and I have to say I will am looking forward to reading more of her work! I lovedPaxton & Steeds story and would have loved to have
Read a little bit more about them but the ending was tied up nicely and has left the door open for more stories from this family!

Well worth grabbing a copy of this book, it was fantastic!

EXCERPT

“Whatcha doing?” I nearly jumped out of my skin as I spun around and clutched at my chest. “Jesus, Amelia! Why would you sneak up on me like that?” She tried to hide her smile and failed. Lifting her brows, she glanced past my shoulder. “Were you watching Steed and Chloe?” My cheeks heated. “What? No! Are they here? I haven’t seen them. Why would you say that?” When her eyes moved back to mine, I knew she saw right through my blunder of lies. “Uh-huh. I know I was little when you and Steed dated, so we really don’t know each other all that well.” She smiled. “But I can already tell you’re a terrible liar, Paxton.” I dropped my head then peeked up at her. “I wasn’t spying.” Amelia held up her hands. “I didn’t say you were.” Chewing on my lip, I sighed. “Okay. I was spying. I’m lost, Amelia.” With a soft sympathetic grin, she glanced at her brother. “So is he, Paxton. His eyes are so sad. Earlier this morning we all had breakfast together as a family and both Mom and I noticed it.” “The family was all together?” I asked. She nodded with a grin. “The boys have been working the ranch the last two days so they’re all staying at the house. It’s been nice having Steed home again. Dad’s thrilled he’s back and digging deeper into the business side of the ranch. The idea of having another son run day-to-day operations has him all kinds of happy.” Guilt hit me square in the chest. It was my fault he left. I told him to leave. He left his family and stayed away because of me. “I’m so sorry he left town,” I said. “Paxton, you didn’t keep him away all those years. That was his decision. A poor one, but his nonetheless.” I shrugged. Turning, I glanced back at Steed and Chloe. “He’s such a good father.” The sadness in my voice caused Amelia to put her hand on my shoulder and gave it a squeeze.
