So this is the type of book that dirties up your pallet, the book that makes you want to read something with butterflies and rainbows because this book is gritty, raw, and dirty and I LOVED IT!!!
You don't need to be afraid of the boogeyman under your bed, you need to watch out for Gray under your bed. I was instantly intrigued with this idea in the blurb. I was instantly hooked! But once I started the story, I was completely captivated by it. For the most part, this is a fairly short story, not novella short, but short but there was so much information in the book, I don't know how the author did it. Between Gray and his life and his family, then Violet and her past we got a lot of information plus a story between Gray and Violet. The author didn't get wordy with detail, and I liked that. It was a story straight to the point. The author told us what we needed to know and that was that.
This is one of the most unique stories I've read! There are some dark moments in the book but there was a good balance of some sweeter moments as well. I enjoyed the characters, I loved the storyline and I thought the book was well written.
If you are a fan of dark romances, I highly recommend this one!
