This is a friends to lovers, second change romance story that will have you swooning. The beginning of this story hooked me and from there I was intrigued.
After the initial hook up, this story became a slow burn. Nothing against a slow burn romance, I do enjoy them, but it was a big tease to get that first connection then slowly wait to for this relationship to develope. It was a lot of will they, wont they. The beginning started off with such a bang that during the middle of the story, I felt like there was a lull. I was just waiting for something big to happen. While it did, it just took a little bit to get there.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. I enjoyed going on this rollercoaster of a ride with these two characters. I thought the story story was well written. While this book is part of the Hearts Series it can be read as a standalone.
