They say to expect the unexpected. The unexpected can either be good or bad. In this case, the unexpected blew me away.
Josephine has not had the easiest life. Her mom passed away when she was young which left her with her dad, who shut down almost completely. She had to grow up way before she should have, raise herself to become the woman that she did. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Joe has to do whatever she can go pay for school and whatever else she needs, which has led her to becoming a stripper. She meets a handsome stranger. He sits in the dark and watches.There is a sense of wonder about who this stranger is. He lurks in the dark, watches from afar. Once we get in to the story, we soon find out just who he is. We find out some minute details about him, about what he does, who he is, but there's still some unanswered questions. This story is so...honestly, I just can't find the words for it. J.C. Valentine wrote a story that will completely captivate you. This story has you guessing what's going to happen next. With surprises around every corner, you'll be completely blown away by the end. All in all, for my first read by J.C., I absolutely loved it.

OMG I totally didn’t see that coming! Joe is a strong character. She is putting herself through college. She knows what she wants out of life. Everything is going great until she meets HIM. Her whole life is turned upside down. She goes from being this in control character to someone who pines away after a man. She is not so strong anymore when it comes to him. She is now accepting his mood swings and his absences. The plot thickens with the surprising twist at the end. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
