Dirty Past by Emma Hart ~ BLOG TOUR & REVIEW

Synopsis – Release Day May 4

On the heels of Dirty Secret, here is a sizzling hot romance featuring another Burke brother and the girl he can’t resist, from the New York Times bestselling author of the Game series.

Walking out on my wedding wasn’t my best idea.

Neither was throwing my cell in the lake and taking a job as PA for Dirty B, America’s favorite rock band, complete with every teen girl’s dream man, the eldest of the Burke brothers.

Tate Burke is pure sex. Women actually throw their panties at him during shows. And Ella Dawson is the lucky little thing that gets to escort their fangirling butts out when he’s done with them.

He’s a cocky son of a bitch, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. Every now and then Ella gets a rare glimpse of the Tate behind the “bad boy” act, and it attracts her in the most annoying way. The most annoying, heart-thumping, panty-wetting way.

When her abusive ex turns up at the hotel room Ella and Tate are sharing, raging mad, she knows she’ll need more than just a little protection. Tate sees red, and Ella can’t help but lean on him, despite his bad-boy ways.

And now? Now, he’s in a whole lot of trouble.

Sweet Mother Of God!!!!!! Each and every damn time Emma Hart delivers a new book boyfriend, I swear, I declare war for dibs. This is book two in the 'The Burke Brother's Series' and when I read book one, I thought Tate was one gigantic asshole who only cared about himself! So, I literally couldn't wait to get my hands on his story to see past this cocky son of a bitch attitude he had and once again, Mrs Hart delivers something spectacular.

This is the story of Ella, a gorgeous female lead who has found confidence, courage and incredible inner strength to remove herself from the shitstorm that was her life to start something brand spanking new! She is without a doubt, one of my favourite heroines to grace the book world and I really admired everything about her character.

This brand new road she takes, drives her straight into the hustle and bustle of the Dirty.B boys, their lives, day in and day out! Not a bad thing WHATSOEVER right?? Until..... Mr Tate Burke catches her mind, body and soul, despite fighting the amazing connection each other . He is relentless to let her slip away from his grasp! He knows he shouldn't look, he knows he shouldn't touch.......

What I adored about this book, is Tate's POV! Because you get to see past the cocky, arrogant, asshole attitude that he tries to portray across to everyone. The guy is such a protective, beautiful, heartfelt character and it made my heart just melt right out of my body. I loved the banter between all of the characters, the love they all have for each other, especially gorgeous little Mila who was such a delight throughout the entire story. Watching Ella's sassy side and her own knowledge of her self-worth grow throughout the book was such a beautiful experience too.

Emma Hart once again delivers a BEAUTIFUL story full of heart, emotion, laugh out loud moments and an incredible connection between two lead characters. I cannot wait for further books in this series!!! Congratulations Mrs H, I bloody love your face <3

Dirty Past is the story of Dirty B brother, Tate Burke. He's a manwhore, simply put. He knows that all girls want from him are his money, a picture in the paper, and an easy ride to fame. He's not willing to give them more time than it takes him to get off. He's had his fair share of trouble in the past. When more trouble comes calling, he's given an ultimatum.
Ella is a very strong girl, but that strength has been tampered down by her ex. Respect and love aren't things she's well acquainted with. So when she takes a new job as a PA for the Dirty B's, her shell slowly starts falling away, and she starts to find herself again. Until her past comes stomping back in and smacks her in the face.

I enjoyed getting Tate and Ella's story. They both have rocky pasts that could show up and ruin everything. They aren't willing to settle for different reasons. But when someone comes in that pushes your limits and makes you question everything you ever wanted, sometimes you have to take a chance on what could be. This was a story of overcoming your fears, of pushing aside what you thought you wanted, and making room for something new, something that ultimately will flip your world upside down and give you everything you never knew you wanted.

I must say that I have loved just about everybook that Emma has done so far. This book though. It blew all her other work out of the water. I thought that she wrote about something that is a very difficult thing to write about. Abuse. She did this wonderfully. I thought that the way she did it was perfect.
I love the Ella has this side that she is just discovering. Tate has this way of bringing it out of her. Together they are sweet and sour. One minute you have a shy Ella that is timid and scared of men. The next you have a grab you by the balls in your face Ella that is ready to take on anyone. Tate has been able to bring out Who ella is with words that only he could get away with. while it may seem like she would want to steer clear of him he has other ideas. I love that Tate wont back down from her and is willing to stand up for her and to her. This has been one of my favorite reads thust far of 2015.

By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies - usually wine - and writes books.
Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love.
She likes to be busy - unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.

Conner Burke never expected Sofie Callahan to come back.
Where she’s been for the last two and half years is a mystery, and so is the reason she left in the first place. Now, though, she’s back in their hometown of Shelton Bay, South Carolina, at the same time Conner’s band Dirty B is home on a tour break.
Sofie Callahan has spent the months since her father’s death avoiding anything to do with her home town. But with her brother in Afghanistan, she has no choice but to return and sort out her father’s house, even if it means facing the boy she fell in love with and revealing the reason she left.
Conner has questions, and when his broken heart and her guilty one collide, Sofie has to start answering them. Their present is rocky, their future unknown. Only one thing is certain:
Sofie’s daughter will change everything.

“Tate. I don’t…” she draws in a deep breath, and her fingers brush against my forearm.
“You don’t, what, darlin’?” I sink my fingers into her hair.
“Think you should… I should… we should… um,” she pauses, “do this. It’s not right.”
I laugh low, because nothing has ever felt as right as kissing her, and I touch my lips to hers. A sharp squeak buzzes through our connection, and I tug lightly on her bottom lip with my teeth. Fuck, she tastes sweet, like candy and Moscato wine, like summer breaking through a fall day.
She grabs my bare sides and I lean into her more, pushing her back onto the sofa. She goes with me, her grip on me tightening. Our bodies fall flush together, and as I kiss her deeper, swiping my tongue against her bottom lip, she eases her hands around to my back.
Her hands are soft and so fucking warm, each touch is a burning trail across my skin, one I feel tingling everywhere, because, fuck, fuck, fuck.
Too many girls, kisses, touches. None like this.
No softness beneath me, no hot fingertips against me, no deliciously sweet lips against mine.
No Ella.
“Wrong,” she breathes.
“You afraid?” I whisper.
She inhales sharply, but she shakes her head. “No.”
“Then it ain’t wrong, darlin’.” My mouth descends on hers once again, and I sweep my lips across hers. Her body is responding, slightly arching into me, but it’s her mouth, her kiss, that fucking consumes me.
Her tongue meeting and battling mine sends me into another fucking dimension, some ten million light years above ours. Consuming me, fucking with me, she drives me crazy yet again.
