Let me start by saying that I LOVE a man with an accent! Yummy! Kyle is the whole package! Accent, kind, considerate, loves his parents, and passionate enough to need a fire extinguisher! You can even tell that he loves his brother and sister even though they really don't get along.
Scarlett has been let down. Apparently 9 years means nothing to Jake. Their split puts a rift in her relationship with her brother Sawyer. Thankfully she has Amy, her best friend since childhood, although she is more like a sister. The relationship between Scarlett, Amy, Sawyer,and Hunter is amazing. They continue to be so close after all the years they have known each other.
Scarlett and Kyle have explosive chemistry and are so good together. They don't have to try to impress each other. They have lots of fun and love being with each other. He fits in with their group so easily. And she gets the same sense of family he has with his friends that she has with hers.
There is a bit of drama in this story and Scarlett and Kyle find a way to help each other through.
Very excited to see what comes next for this group!

Nicole De La Cruz hit this little number out of the park! For a debut novel, I was really blown away. This book was cute and non-confrontational and just an easy read. I like that I wasn't confused with the characters and the story line flowed. The characters were so cute and fun also.
I loved the characters! There was spunky best friend and hot British heart throb so how could the story go wrong?? I didn't! The character development was a little shaky at the beginning but I quickly recovered and delivered right on cue. Watching Kyle and Scarlett grow and develop was just sweet. She needed a strong and determined man and that’s exactly what Kyle was. He needed to take a step back and she helped him do just that. Throw in the zany best friend Amy and the sibling/ friends and the mix just worked.
I thought this book was a little choppy as I began to read but it did recover and became easy. The character development was right on and I enjoyed meeting and watching them all grow. I loved the British man…HOT!!! There was minimal angst in this book which was fantastic for me. I would recommend this book for someone looking for an easy read. 4 star read for sure! Thanks Nicole for delivering this great book!!

When men constantly disappoint you, a girl tends to put walls up around her heart. That's what Scarlett did after she found her boyfriend cheating on her. Then she meets Kyle, hot bar owner with a sexy accent. Can she forget about her past and let Kyle in, or will she let the past ruin what is becoming a great love story?
I really liked this story. I liked that it was a realistic love story. It didn't go from them meeting to falling in love to quickly. They spent time together and built the relationship. Every girl has been in Scarlett's position before. I know I have. I just need to find me a man like Kyle to fall in love with.
