There are so many things I want to say about this story but I can’t since I don’t want to give too much away. So I will say that when I first started reading I thought it was going to be your traditional young love story. Honestly, it was so much more than that. The author was able to really get you to connect with the main characters Lily and Jax. You couldn’t help but fall in loveright along with them and their story.
So the main focus of the story is for you to realize that life happens. Whether you’re planning it or not, life just happens. “It is in constant motion, going on no matter the circumstances, regardless of the outcomes. Sometimes, things happen the way we want them to, and sometimes they don’t.”
If you take one thing out of this review, take this: READ IT! You will not be sorry you did.

OMG! I am still crying. This story was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. The relationship between Lilly and Jax is scorching and tear jerking. I have never cried this much over a book. Lilly has been heartbroken by Jax twice now and I just wanted to scream at him! I really didn’t see this story ending this way. It threw me for a loop. The kind of friendship that Lilly and Jax share is remarkable. They are so in tune with each other. Of course they want to fight to keep it. But the emotional toll it is taking on both of them is awful. This was my first Ellie Wade book, but it won’t be my last. Can’t wait for the next one to see where the story of Jax and Lilly leads.

Ellie Wade resides in southwest Michigan with her husband, three young children, and two dogs. She has a Master’s degree in education from Eastern Michigan University and is a huge University of Michigan sports fan. She loves the beauty of her home state, especially the lakes and the gorgeous autumn weather. When she is not writing, you will find her reading, snuggled up with her kiddos, or spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling and exploring new places with her family.
