Wow. This book has rendered me speechless. As I am writing this, I'm finding myself struggling to come up with the accurate words that would do this book justice. Nothing I say will be able to fully express how I feel at this very moment.
Wash Me Away is one of those books that you find yourself engrossed in because of the amount of emotion it's able to evoke. It deals with some touchy subject matter, subjects that are all too familiar in today's world. I find myself thinking of moments in my life where I've been faced with similar situations, not that any of these things happened to me, but to those I knew.
Wendy Owens has such a tremendous gift for writing beautiful stories, of that I'm sure. I loved the way she made this story into one of survival: of fear and pain, that turned into something so extraordinary. I found myself overcome with emotion, sad and overjoyed at the same time. This is one of those stories that people will talk about. It's a story that needs to be read because, unfortunately, this world and the people in it can be ugly. But, they also need to know that there is a way out. Thank You, Wendy, for writing a story that has so deeply touched my heart and will stay with mefor a long time to come.

Wendy Owens was born in the small college town, Oxford Ohio. After attending Miami University, Wendy went onto a career in the visual arts.
