About ALL PLAYED OUT:
First person in her family to go to college? CHECK. Straight A’s? CHECK. On track to graduate early? CHECK. Social life? …..yeah, about that….
With just a few weeks until she graduates, Antonella DeLuca’s beginning to worry that maybe she hasn’t had the full college experience. (Okay… Scratch that. She knows she hasn’t had the full college experience).
So Nell does what a smart, dedicated girl like herself does best. She makes a “to do” list of normal college activities.
Item #1? Hook up with a jock.
Rusk University wide receiver Mateo Torres practically wrote the playbook for normal college living. When he’s not on the field, he excels at partying, girls, and more partying. As long as he keeps things light and easy, it’s impossible to get hurt… again. But something about the quiet, shy, sexy-as-hell Nell gets under his skin, and when he learns about her list, he makes it his mission to help her complete it.
Torres is the definition of confident (And sexy. And wild), and he opens up a side of Nell that she’s never known. But as they begin to check off each crazy, exciting, normal item, Nell finds that her frivolous list leads to something more serious than she bargained for. And while Torres is used to taking risks on the field, he has to decide if he’s willing to take the chance when it’s more than just a game.
Together they will have to decide if what they have is just part of the experiment or a chance at something real.

I am a huge fan of all the books in the Rusk University series, but Nell and Mateo are my favorite!!! Both are just amazing, lovable characters that you want as your friends. They say opposites attract and Nell and Mateo are just that, but they just fit together so well, compliment each other.

Nell is this shy and quiet girl who believes happiness lies in having a set career. She spent her entire college career doing just that, studying, getting good grades, that she never experienced the fun side of college life. But then she creates a college to do list...

Mateo is a loud, shameless, tell-it-as-it-is football player who is instantly drawn to Nell. And as soon as he find out about her list he is determined to be the one to help her check each one off.

The story was amazing, very well written and flowed fantastically. Page after page I kept wanting more and with each page turn I was not disappointed. The characters we simply amazing. I love reading about character growing, learning about themselves, challenging themselves and these two did all those things. Favorite book couple ever!!! This book is a MUST READ!

I absolutely LOVED the first two books in the Rusk University series and All Played Out was no different. I've been dying to see what the hot, goofy Torres was all about and man was I a happy girl!
With her early graduation fast approaching, Nell, Dylan's nerdy roommate decides to make a list of things she wants to experience in college before she graduates and Matteo Torres is just the person to help her out. What starts out as a flirty friendships escalates into something more and the results are scorching!
I seriously loved how different Torres and Nel are. They compliment each other so well. Torres is so sexy and so funny but he is so much more than that. The way he helps Nell come out of her shell is just awesome.
As always Cora Carmack delivers a book that is funny, sweet, full of heart and feels. Another Touchdown!

All Played Out is the third companion novel in the Rusk University series by Cora Carmack. Like most new adult contemporary series, each book follows a new set of main characters but they can often be read as a standalone. Personally, I've read and enjoyed the first book but I've not had a chance to read the second book.

I'm not sure if it's a going on thing with all of Cora Carmack's books or whether it's just this series...but the two books I've read have something in common about them that makes me appreciate the book, writing and story so much more. The characters in her books, specifically the Rusk University series, go through a huge development that doesn't necessarily change their lives. But it does open them up to newer paths that they might not have come across if they didn't figure themselves out in the story. This idea of finding out who you are adds something special and real to the stories.

Needless to say, Nell and Mateo were great characters. With how diverse they are, it was interesting and amusing to see them interact and sort through their relationship. Besides that, it was also great to see the other characters from the other books. There's not really much to dislike about this series. It was an entertaining and enjoyable read from start to finish. A fantastic new adult book!
