This is a good debut Novel by C.S Jacobs. I Will warn though that this book deals with some very distressing issues and is a bit of an emotional read.
Angelica is a young woman who has quite literally been to hell and back. She has a best friend named Joey who would move heaven and earth to keep her safe.
She has a useless self centred mother and a fabulous grandfather that loves her to no end.
She has never been in a relationship and openly admits she likes to F*** and dump.
Then she meets Blake and everything she thought she was and knew is turned upside down. She doesn't know how to do relationships and can't understand why he wants to be with her.
This books ends on a cliffhanger and I will definitely be reading the next book to see what happens!
There were some minor issues with this book which is why I have given it a 3.5 star rating. The bases of the story line is great but I felt the characters needed to be developed a bit more.
I easily invested in the story but for me, to make it a 4 or 5 star book it needed to be a bit more fast paced in some parts and more detailed in others.
Overall this is a good debut novel and I look forward to book 2.

I picked up A Life Like This and kept turning the pages wanting to know what was going to happen next. CS Jacob's debut novel is good and it keeps you wanting more.
The supporting characters are great in the book. I kind fell for Blake and wanted to slap Angelica at times, she needed to see what was front of her and appreciate it.
I did have an issue with the back and fourth of the relationship between Blake and Angelica, I would have liked to see them have a solid stint together. I totally understand that Angelica is F%$* and leave kind of gal and doesn't do relationships. In saying that I can't wait to read book 2 and see how the relationship develops.
I got shitty, I laughed and I swooned so all in all it was a good read.
