Eight years ago, Scott and Gaby shared one very special night. Not wanting to ruin their friendship, they didn't take things further...but neither of them has forgotten.

When Scott’s friends stage an intervention to make him realize that his fiancé, Victoria, is all wrong for him, he takes time to evaluate his life. He’s earned a big promotion and just bought his dream car, but those things are just superficial. The one time he was truly happy, was with Gaby.

Gaby is in a good place in her life. She loves her job, has the best friends and family a girl could ask for, and is dating a sweet and sexy guy, but she’s never stopped thinking about that night with Scott.

Eager to find happiness again, Scott makes a plan to win Gaby’s heart during a weekend getaway, but she doesn’t want to be his rebound girl. Will 42 hours be enough to convince Gaby that it's finally their time for love?

Review By: FIDAH

42 Hours is the third book in the Time for Love series. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone. But I do believe that it would be easier to follow if you read them in order. The whole series has an interesting concept, where basically there's a set time for each character in the book to win their partner's love. I found it to be unique but it can be seen as a little repetitive if you marathon the series.

This book follows Gaby and Scott who have been friends for years, and even reached the point where they shared feelings. However, due to certain circumstances, they've never had the opportunity to test the waters. They didn't have that chance to do so in this book, but they did made one. Although that's where the problem arises because I felt like it was unfair towards Brock who was dating Gaby at that point of time. To make matters worse, their friends seemed okay with it to even defend Gaby when things started going wrong. But Gaby did try to work things out which I really admire about her because of her compassion. It's tough but you gotta do it.

With that said, the story was pretty decent. The characters were pretty great together and they had this dynamic going on in their little group. The romance was predictable but sweet. A quick and fast read for sure.
