Heat is the second book and the continuation of the Elements of Chemistry series and it definitely brought the heat!!! I was left off really hating Martin at the end of Attraction, but he was able to explain himself and all was good in the world again. 

While I did not find this book as funny as the first book, Heat gave us a lot of information about the plot and more about the characters. I loved how Martin brought Kaitlyn out of her comfort zone. Kaitlyn was so use to suppressing her feelings, about everything, but when it came to Martin she just felt out of control. It was nice to see that other side of Kaitlyn. We learn a lot about Martin and his family and why he is the way he is. It helped answer a lot of questions I had from the first book. 

I am really looking forward to the next book because I need to know what is going to happen next!!!
