Now he has to be around her and make sure that she’s safe. Samantha Baker has been receiving anonymous threats, the last person she expected to walk through the door was the man that dismissed her the night before. Now she has to deal with his arrogant attitude on a daily basis, while she is still infatuated with him.
When you push love away will you be able to recognize it when it’s right in front of your face? Or will everything be ripped away before you get the chance to really live?

When Hunter took the position of body guard for high profile performer, Samantha he would have never guessed that the smoking blonde was also the smoking brunette he bagged then kicked out right after the night before.
After suffering a loss, Hunter refuses to form any personal attachments and never goes for repeats.....until Sam. With a threat looming to harm Sam can Hunter protect her while protecting his heart?
Protecting Her was a quick fun read. The characters were awesome! Hunter so angsty and alpha and Sam so strong yet she lets her vulnerability cloud her strength. The sexy times were hot and the suspense was riveting. The only issues I had with this book was the predictability and just the filling that something was missing.
All in all this is a book I definitely recommend for a fun summer read.

This story was great. Hunter is a strong
character. He puts his all into his job and into his determination to win over
Sam. He has no use for Sam’s mom and the way she treats Sam and speaks his mind
at every available opportunity. He has a great group of friends that he can
spend his down time with. They are very supportive of him and they accept Sam
into the fold easily. They treat her like a person and like her for who she is
and how she treats their friend. They become a lifeline for Sam.
Sam just wants to be a normal person. She is tired of
always being in the spotlight. She is a little bit of a pushover, most always
going along with her mother instead of causing a fight. She is really insecure
and looking for approval and acceptance. She finds what she is looking for in
Hunter and his friends. Her journey in this story is to learn to love herself
and learn how to stick up for herself.

This book will have you guessing what is what. I thought I had it figured out and BAM new direction. I loved that you never knew what was coming. It also frustrated me because you want it to go a certain way but it doesn't and your left saying "why the hell not" I will say that the chemistry between the two characters is off the charts. The banter that goes on will Crack you up and have you laughing out loud while people look at you like your crazy. They also have secrets that explains why they are the way they are. I didn't want this book to end and I can only hope that there will be a 2nd one.

When Hunter Stone gave his screw them & leave them speech to Samantha Baker he had no idea that her one night of anonymity would come back to bite him. The situation that they both find themselves in is not unusual, he is hired to protect a rising star…he just had no idea that Samantha would affect his so much. This book was a very easy read for me. It was short and sweet and offered little angst. The plot was quickly delivered and was east to follow.
“Thank you for being so incredible. You haven’t seen anything yet, babe”. Incredible isn’t the word I would have given Hunter stone when I first met his character, arrogant really is what came to mind. He was ballsy and had the biggest chip on his shoulder. He was a closed book and no one was getting into the fortress he built around his heart. Enter Samantha baker. She was musical royalty in need of protecting…or possibly saving is more like it. She is an open book searching for someone to allow her to love and be loved by them.
This book was just the right size for the story provided. It offered minimal conflict and flowed well. The instant attraction they both felt for each other was a little overwhelming leaving me to catch my breath on many occasions while reading. I give this book 3.75 stars.
Alexis Noelle lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband, and three kids. On top a writing career, she is a full-time student and a full-time mom. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She love being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping.
She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Ashley believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something.
She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
