This book was really, really good and everyone should put it at the top of their To Be Read list. Ann Conley did really well developing her characters and story. I loved how the main characters Krista and Ryan came together regardless of all the craziness that Krista was running from. Ryan was supposed to be taking care of her and keep her safe from some nasty sick men. Then again maybe he could keep her safe and have amazing sex at the same time or maybe not. So read to find out!!!!!!!

This is one of those books that although a work of fiction, addresses some really horrific truths.
These things happen in the real world & are hidden by all sorts of people in positions of power.
When authors choose to include these storylines in their works of fiction, they either do it really well, or really badly.
Anne has done it well. She has weaved a story around an awful incident but manages to draw out the characters journey in a way that
doesn’t make you want to put the book down & stop reading. I found myself being caught up in the romance taking place between the 2 main characters
rather than the horrible incident that brought them together.
Krista is working late one night and walks in on her boss and another man committing a heinous act. She learns very quickly that not only are these men
In powerful positions but they have other in higher positions in their pockets!
Ryan works for a security PI firm that is hired to find Krista for stealing ‘important information” from her boss.
He soon works out that all is not as it seems & finds himself protecting her rather than hunting her. The line between professional & personal
get blurred and Ryan finds his ability to protect Krista being doubted by his boss Colleague’s.
This story has a lot of twists and turns and is for the most part face paced. There were a couple of times that the pace slowed right down but it picked up
again and kept the story moving along. Based on the progression of the story & the powerful positions of the villain’s in this story, the outcome was very different
from what I expected & I was really happy with the way it wrapped up & tied up loose ends.

After witnessing a heinous crime, Krista is in trouble and she is put in the care of security specialist, Ryan, to keep her safe. The attraction between Krista and Ryan is instant and despite warning from his boss not to get romantically involved with a client, Ryan and Krista stop fighting their feelings and give in but when the threat is so close can he continue to do his job with the distraction of sex?
Craze is a great romantic suspense story. Twists and turns coupled with the sexual tension of Ryan and Krista made this book a quick read. Generally I have a hard time connecting with books written in third person but this was not the case. It was one of the most engaging books I have ever read that was written in this form.
The characters were great though some of Ryan's lifestyle did turn me off a bit, Krista totally balanced that out. The chemistry between them and the sexy times were pretty hot.
This book, though somewhat predictable, was sweet, sexy with edge of your seat romance.

“How cold is it supposed to get?”
“Not too cold. Fifties?”
“You should have told me to bring more clothes.”
“I packed some for you.” He grinned at her outraged expression.
“You had clothes for me and let me parade around in that blanket all day?”
Flabbergasted, she watched heat creep into his face as he ducked his head, his grin turning sheepish. “A guy can hope.”
“Hope for what?” Heart pounding, she saw the evidence of his attraction as he avoided her gaze. Was he actually as attracted to her as she was to him? Why all the avoidance then? It would certainly make their time together pass faster. At least less awkwardly. “Hope for what, Ryan?”
He looked up at her, the flush in his face making his complexion look ruddy. Hot as hell. She couldn’t stop herself. Krista had never thrown herself at a man the way she was compelled to do with Ryan, but the way he looked at her—like he could devour her any second—made any semblance of decorum fly out the window… er… shelter.
Licking her lips, she watched as Ryan froze, every muscle in his body tensing up. There wasn’t much space between them, but she closed it as she crawled into his lap, feeling a devilish grin on her face. She could feel his arousal press against her core, and she automatically ground against it, eliciting a moan from him.
She’d never been this way with a man before. His hands came up to grip her hips, as if to stop her, but his eyes told her to keep going. He looked helpless to stop his desires and seemed on the verge of giving in to them.
“Hope for what, Ryan?” she repeated in a whisper before leaning forward. She knew he wanted this almost as badly as she did.
“Don’t…” he breathed at her, leaning his forehead against hers.
Her pussy was so hot and wet; she couldn’t believe he was stopping. He was hard and ready. She rocked against him to illustrate.
“Don’t what? You want this, don’t you?” A shot of sobering indecisiveness rankled her. “Or is this all one-sided?” She backpedaled, crawling out of his lap and onto her pile of leaves.
“Fuck,” Ryan muttered under his breath. “Of course I want it, Krista. Like nothing I’ve ever wanted before.” His voice was hoarse and gritty. He adjusted the bulge in his pants, but didn’t come any closer, and Krista felt the sting of rejection all over again. “You’re fucking beautiful. And classy. And perfect.” He let out a whoosh of air she felt across the shelter. “But I know that if we do anything, I’ll want to spend every day buried inside that sweet pussy and I won’t be able to protect you with a distraction like that.” He stood, ducking in the low-ceilinged structure. “I need to protect you.” Without another word, he stalked out of the structure, into the rain.
Krista shivered in the sudden cold of the shelter. The temperature hadn’t dropped physically, but the absence of Ryan left a definite chill against her heated skin. What the fuck had just happened? She had no doubt he wanted her.
