  Rachel Van Dyken has done it again! The Consequences of Loving Colton had me laughing out loud, so hard I was crying. I couldn't wait to see what kind of shenanigans Max would get into with his own story. And I wasn't disappointed!

  
  

  Jason was dead set on getting revenge on Max so he signs him up to be the next bachelor on a reality show. Put Max on an island with a bunch of single women and we are bound to laugh out loud with his antics. The best thing about Max is that he has no filter, absolutely none. So you never really know what is actually going to come out of his mouth. 

  
  

  In this second book we get to see more of his brother Reid, and he is just as funny as Max. I cannot wait to read his story. 

  
  

  Read it! If you loved The Consequences of Loving Colton you will love Max's story just as much. There hasn't been a Rachel Van Dyken book that I didn't freakin love!

  The day Rachel Van Dyken stops writing books will be the day the literary world weeps. And by literary world, I mean Me. I'll weep. Like a baby. I never want to be without the hilariousness that she gives us. I don't know how she comes up with it. Either she has people like this in her life or she has quite the imagination. Doesn't matter as long as she keeps it coming. I don't think I've ever read a book where I laughed so hard and so much that I was brought to tears. But you know what they say...There's a first time for everything. The witty banter that never seems to cease. The insane ideas some of them have and the fact that others agree to it, it all makes for a story that you will not want to put down. It will also leave you waiting impatiently for the next lucky (depending on who you ask) bastard that is going to be tortured next. We've gotten Colt and Max's story, now I can't wait for Jason and Reid's. As long as everyone is included in some way, I know it'll be just as amazing. This read has made it on my top favorite's list of 2015, really one of my favorites I've ever read.

  I was so happy to see this book happening!!! MAX and his own book… a total yes (insert fist bump) even if the word ‘revenge” was in the title. Honestly that made me more curious. I mean how could such a quick witted, snarky as sin and sexy metro man need to seek revenge on anyone??? Oh and the joke was on me because the revenge was happening but MAX wasn’t the only casualty! This book had adventure and swoon as much as danger and lusty goodness all wrapped up in the most unnatural of places….love Island!

  
  

  Love Island… survivor meets the bachelor. Drop off one almost unwilling contestant and the fun is just beginning. Our beloved MAX is front and center for the adventure of his life. In 3 short weeks he will fight off wild beasts, brave the amazon to win the ultimate love prize. Sound appetizing??? Well throw in a minion, sneezy and a cocky barista and I was absolutely hooked on this entertaining story line!!

  
  

  I loved that the whole gang was back in this book as well. I didn’t have to wonder what happened to any of them because Rachel wrote them all in, and it gave a great companionship to the current story line. Again, she was able to take me into their lives as though no time had lapsed and the location hadn’t changed. This amazing group of friends really has made this series one of my favorites. From side splitting hilarity to mouth dropping romance, this book has it all.

  I don't even know where to start with this review. You know when you laugh so hard, that your jaw feels like it might just snap, you get cramps in your stomach, ribs and chest because you physically cannot breathe, this book did that to me on EVERY SINGLE PAGE, I highlighted on EVERY SINGLE PAGE and will return to this book over and over again!!

  Rachel Van Dyken has once again written a book that is absolutely brilliant for the soul, she really is the best of the bunch! 

  
  

  Max..... Oh sweet baby Jesus! This guy is without a doubt the funniest male character to grace the book world. He is an absolute trip! He is sexy, confident and has a beautiful heart too! But he is also feeling a little deflated since his best friend Milo got married. So what better way to overcome this 'down in the dumps' feeling than his friends entering him into a 'Batchelor' style reality TV show, with 25 women all looking for love, on an island? Yeah, you sure can bet that is going to be one epic adventure.

  From the first doctor visit (LMAO) to giving all of the women their own nickname (LMAO) you are pulled into this story of humour, heart and so much happiness.

  Max meets one of the 25 girls, Becca, and with her, he has totally met his match!!

  
  

  Becca is on the show for one reason....to win the money. That is until she see's Max as much more than some 'Batchelor'. They have beautiful chemistry from the get-go and make a pact to win this show together. She is funny, gorgeous and definitely the girl to keep up with someone as outrageous as Max.

  Appearances from the characters from the first book in the series Reid, Milo, Jason and Colton gave this book the beautiful friendship sparkle that book one held. You will also enjoy new characters, including a lizard, a goat and the seven dwarfs LMAO!!! It's so damn good!

  This book made me laugh, it made me swoon and it gave me a beautiful HEA. I cannot praise Rachel Van Dyken enough, she is without a doubt one of my go-to authors and I have loved EVERYTHING about this series so far. I cannot WAIT to see who is next!   Max stole the show for me in The Consequence of Loving Colton and I was so excited he got his own book! It was everything I expected and more! In Loving Colton we saw the humorous side of Max, but in this book we saw a sweet, caring, sexy side of Max. I loved that Max had no shame! It was always go big or go home! 

  
  

  I really enjoyed getting more into Max's head. We learned that even though is portrayed as this carefree guy, he has feelings, he does care, and he does want more for himself and Becca helped bring that out. It takes a lot of handle Max and Becca stepped up to the plate and became everything he needed.

  
  

  The story was well written and the story line flowed nicely. This is the second book in the series, while it can be read as a standalone, I would read Loving Colton first as there characters and references from the first book. While I didn't find it as funny as the first book there are several laugh out loud moments and would highly recommend reading.
