I love Kelly Elliott. There, I said it. No one does Cowboys the way she does. She makes them rough and sexy at the same time. I've been wanting Luke and Libby's story for a while. I knew their journey wasn't going to be simple and easy.
Libby has loved Luke for as long as she can remember. He's always had a way of talking her in to being his sidekick. They were always getting in trouble for the silly pranks they were pulling on everyone. Now that they're grown, she wants him to see her for more than a best friend.
Luke loves Libby. But he knows that he's no good for her. The one time he lets his guard down and kisses Libby, he turned around and hurt her. She needs someone who won't hurt her, whether it is intentional or not. So he decides to keep his distance and do whatever it takes to forget Libby. But that's the problem, he can't forget her. What will it take for him to see that he's exactly what she wants and needs?
I always look forward to Kelly's books. She always gives us a great story. We get just the right amount of sexiness and angst to keep us turning the pages as fast as we can read them. At some point, I always end up in tears. It may be from a sad part of the story or one that has me crying happy tears, regardless, the stories always end with a smile on my face. Saving Youwas no different. I loved following Libby and Luke on the journey to each other and seeing how Luke was only fighting the inevitable. But Libby wasn't willing to wait forever. Pick up Saving You and see what it takes for Luke to realize that Libby was always meant for him.

Second book of the Love Wanted in Texas series. This Tory is about Luke and Libby. In case you are unfamiliar with who they are, they are the children of Josh and Heather and Jeff and Ari for the Wanted series. Luke tried so hard to ignore the way he felt about Libby for so many years, thinking he wasn't good enough for her. But it was hard for Libby not to fall in love Luke when they grew up together. Luke pushed her away and was almost successful at losing her. Notice how I said almost. I won't go into further detail so I don't give away any spoilers.
First off let me start by saying that Kelly Elliott is one of my favorite authors. So for me to give this book anything less than 5 stars killed me. I like that she continued the storyline from her Wanted series however they pretty much had the exact same storyline. I felt as though I was reading the Wanted series all over again just with different character names.
I'm sorry I couldn't rate it higher. Saving You was a good read if you didn't read the Wanted series first. I'll definitely continue reading Kelly's work.

This was an adorable read from start to
finish! Easy and fun, this book was just what I needed and wanted. It was light
and romantic and had just the right amount of angst to keep me guessing. I
enjoyed the characters and the setting and really fell in love with Libby &
Luke’s story.
“…I knew I could never give my heart to
anyone else but you.” Swoon all over Luke and his dreamy eyes and sexy hair.
The love these two shared for one another could not be pushed aside. I LOVE the
girl next door books and was so happy to read this beautiful story. The dynamic
between Libby and Luke was a work in progress though out the book and was well
done.
I recommend this book to anyone with a
sense of whimsy and a flare for the romantic. Sweet and sexy, this book really
did steal my heart. Total 4 star read and very well done.

Kelly Elliott is married to a wonderful
Texas cowboy who has a knack for making her laugh almost daily and supports her
crazy ideas and dreams for some unknown reason...he claims it's because he
loves her!
She’s also a mom to an amazing daughter who
is constantly asking for something to eat while her fingers move like mad on
her cell phone sending out what is sure to be another very important text
message.
In her spare time she loves to sit in her
small corner overlooking the Texas hill country and write.
One of her favorite things to do is go for
hikes around her property with Gus....her chocolate lab and the other man in
her life, and Rose, her golden retriever. When Kelly is not outside helping the
hubby haul brush, move rocks or whatever fun chore he has in store for her that
day, you’ll find her inside reading, writing or watching HGTV.

EXCERPT:
“Do you remember the time we got grounded for
talking Will into flying off the barn?”
Libby’s eyes met mine. She smiled so big it
caused me to laugh. “I remember the time you talked me into talking my brother
into soaring through the air.” She shook her head. “Poor, Will. He broke his
arm and we were all so afraid to tell my mom.”
I watched as Libby moved across the
kitchen. My heart began to beat stronger in my chest. She’s mine. She’s finally
mine. Taking in a breath, I slowly let it out. “Do you know what I remember
most about that time?”
She continued to cut
up the watermelon and put it into a bowl for us. “Will threatening to hurt you every single
time he saw you?”
I chuckled. “Nah, that was funny though. I
bet if we brought it up to him he’d still be pissed.” Libby giggled and nodded
her head. “I remember sneaking out and coming to your house in the middle of
the night. Tapping on your bedroom window and sitting under the stars, talking
for hours.”
Libby stared into my eyes, smiling softly.
“I remember that too. I used to lay in bed and pray so hard you would be there
that night. Then, I’d hear you tap on my window and I would get giddy at the
idea of sitting next to you on the roof. I remember if your body brushed
against mine, I would get the silliest feelings in my stomach.” She looked down
and then back at me. “I still do.”
Pushing the stool back, I walked over to
Libby. Placing my hands in her hair, I pulled her head back and pressed my lips
to hers. The kiss was passionate—filled with love, as we kissed each other like
we hadn’t seen each other in days. I pulled back some and whispered against her
lips. “I loved you then, Libby.”
Closing her eyes she barely spoke, “Never
stop loving me, Luke.”
