Ok. Where to start? I have not read the first 3 books in the series, but that did not detract from the story. Definitely can be read as a stand alone. I will be going back to read those as well.
I love the dynamics and the characters of this story. ***Spoilers***
Gabe is a man that has suffered for mistakes in his past. He has come to Rock Canyon to make amends for that mistake with his best friend, Chase. He wants to make a new start for himself. His plans did not include the feisty Caroline.
Caroline, the town bad girl, has returned home after 12 years. Her father kicked her out at 17. She has been on her own ever since. She returns home to find that everyone from her past hates her.
She meets and becomes roommates with Gabe. They have a love hate relationship. As they get closer, her past comes back to haunt her. Can she keep the secret she has been holding onto for 15 years?
The ups and downs, and twists and turns kept me hooked. There was so much depth in the backgrounds of Gabe and Caroline. The love story was remarkable. Definitely a new author for me to cuddle up with!
