But can two people as damaged as Reece and Grayson find their way to happily ever after? Or will the scars on their hearts forever keep them apart?

I love this series. The men are all hot, hot, hot cowboys and the women are strong and passionate. This can be read as a stand alone, but the series is so good you will want to read them all. I love Jessie's writing style. She can always make me fall in love with the characters early in the story and keep me hooked till the end. Always leaves me ready for the next one!

Glitter and Grit is the story of Reece and Greyson. Reece is a tough girl. She's a bull rider in the traveling rodeo circuit. She's around men who give her a hard time for being the only girl. But that's not what has made her exterior shell so hard. Having experienced something horrible when she was 18, she fled town after no one believed her, not even her father. Having been on the road ever since, she doesn't let anyone get close to her. But an unforeseen accident has pushed her back to her hometown.
Greyson just moved back to Lonesome Point after being in the military since right after high school. His father passed so he's back to help his sister and take care of the ranch. Being at the bar on the right night brought these to together. What was supposed to be a one night stand has the possibility to be so much more until someone from both of their pasts comes back to haunt them.
This was a sweet, fast-paced story. I enjoyed the storyline, but there were parts where I wish we had gotten more information. I felt that for Reece having been so anti-relationship, she seemed very willing to jump in to it with Greyson for the long haul. I know sometimes things can happen that can change your point of view on life, but hers was very instantaneous for me. I also felt like the ending was very rushed. I wanted to see more of Reece with her family and see how that relationship grew. I enjoyed the characters and how they were able to help each other grow and branch out. All in all, a nice story that you can read in between books.

After a traumatic incident that destroys her life and her relationship with her father, Reece leaves the small town of Lonesome Point, Texas and becomes a star bull rider. Many years later die to a bull riding accident; Reece comes back to Lonesome Point to recuperate the last thing she expects is the handsome stranger she meets in a bar to become the one person in her life that she can trust.
Grayson left Lonesome Point at the age of 18 to get away from his father. While deployed he hears of what happens with Reece but pays no attention to it until he returns and does everything he can to make things right for Reece.
Glitter and Grit was a pretty good story. The plot line had a few holes but flowed smoothly. The writing kept me interested but throughout the entire book I was craving just more.
Reece was a great character very feisty but at time contradictory. I would have loved for the author to have dug a little bit deeper with her. Gray was a very hot alpha type character and I enjoyed immensely but when it came to his military as well as his romantic past I felt that those things could have been explored a little bit more.
What kept me interested in this book were two things: the chemistry between Reece and Gray was off the charts hot! The banter and the sweetness were really fun to read and the sexy times were scorching. The second thing was that the plot twists were incredible. A few WTF moments had me gripping my kindle tight.
Though predictable at some parts, Glitter and Grit was an easy read that kept me warm on a cold winter day. I give it 3 ½ stars.
About Jessie Evans:
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary Southern romances she loves to read.
She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more.
When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.
