Widowed makeup artist Jane Sullivan is more comfortable keeping her husband’s memory alive than dating a pool full of sharks. Ella, her 4 year-old daughter, is her whole world.
When Jane meets Lucas Oliver, famous cover model, it’s hate at first sight. His playboy persona rubs her the wrong way.
Accustomed to every woman fawning over him, Lucas is drawn to the shy, uncompromising single mom and completely melts at the sight of Ella. He is determined to convince Jane that sometimes a second chance can mend a broken heart.

Moving on is never easy especially if it feels like a goodbye. Single mom Jane Sullivan is a make-up artist, an aspiring writer, and wanting to keep her husband’s memories alive is how she lives with her adorable 4 years old daughter, Ella.
“I’ll never be with another man. There’s one man, one woman, and one true love for each person. That’s it. There’s no second chance or better opportunities around the corner. You lose what you have, you’re done.”
A well-known jaw dropping sexy cover model, Lucas Oliver is someone that Jane comes to learn about at a Writer’s Conference and is a man that she cannot stand let. His playboy lifestyle does not appeal to her and wants nothing to do with him even before she has seen and met him in person.
Living a routine life with her daughter, Jane encounters feelings towards Lucas the more they end up working together that throws her off guard. Lucas is drawn to Jane’s personality and Ella is the little princess who is wrapped around his finger. He believes in second chances and is determine to show Jane that a broken heart can be mended.
This was such a sweet 4.5 stars read; although, I wish the author included an epilogue of what happened at the end to make their story fully complete for me. Overall, my favorite moments had me smitten between the relationship of Ella and Lucas and the banter between the couple and their actions whenever they were in the same room. The premise of moving on and second chances will get you feeling that life should not stop at a loss and/or tragedy.

Me Tarzan You Jane is the story of an aspiring author who meets the cocky, conceited cover model.
Jane is a single mother. Having lost her husband 4 years ago, she's sure that she'll only ever have the one love. She believes that there is only one love for everyone, that there is no such thing as second chances.
Lucas is the most sought after cover model right now. He's as cocky as they come. Women fall at his feet, worship his rock hard abs and swoon over his sexy smile. All except for Jane.
She's immune to his irresistible charm and killer good looks. That is, until she sees how good he is with her daughter. But she's torn, how can she have these sinful thoughts about this man when she's loved and lost her one true love?
Me Tarzan You Jane is a cute story of love lost and found. Reaffirming your thoughts that more than one love does exist for everyone out there and that you should never judge a book by its cover. There is more to every person than what appears on the surface.
I thought this was a good story. I just wish we had gotten more of Jane and Lucas together. I felt that we only skirted the story of them and how they could have grown as a couple. I feel as though they didn't get a fair chance. Too many obstacles were thrown there way too soon. A lot of build up with not enough satisfaction. I found this to be a great 'in-between reads' kind of book.

Lucas has a public image of a playboy. People think he lives hard and fast and parties like there is no tomorrow. Little do they know his life is the complete opposite.
He owns and runs 2 successful businesses as well as caring for his ill mother and stepping into the father roll for his younger brother when their father left years ago.
Life has been far from easy for him.
Jane is a single mother to 4 year old Ella. She is not single by choice though. He husband was killed and she made a young widow. Jane is very set in her ways and believes you only get one shot at love and if it is taken away there are no second chances.
Until she meets Lucas. He shows her how to live again and more importantly how to love again.
Lucas and Janes relationship moves very fast and before long Lucas is thinking of himself as Ella’s father. Even wanting to go & sort out the little boy at preschool who dared to pick on her and upset her!! Yeah he has a lot to learn about being a parent.
He picks it up quickly and Ella loves the thought of him being her daddy.
From the outside it looks like Lucas and Jane have the beginnings of a perfect relationship. It looks like not much could tear them apart..
Then Lucas’s past comes back to bite him in the butt big time. Jane needs to decide if she has what it takes to stand by him or not. Or if she even wants to..
This story is well written and I think the characters learn lots of lessons throughout the book. You can’t change the pastyou can only learn from it and move on.
This is a good short read & would be great to read on the beach or sitting by the pool with a cocktail
