Synopsis
Vince DaMarco always liked Cassie, the shy waitress who works at the restaurant that serves as a front for his mob boss uncle. Unfortunately, she witnesses a back alley hit, and while fleeing, she’s struck by a truck. Now she’s at the top of the hit list. Desperate to stop anyone who’d draw out Cassie’s death, Vince volunteers to take care of it. Cassie Dalton has no recollection of her accident, but she’s told she’s lucky to be alive. A few years are missing from her memory, and the unsettling feeling that something isn’t right—along with the creepy sensation that she’s being watched—won’t go away. Vince shows up right when Cassie needs him most. In a world of confusion, the rugged stranger is the one thing that makes sense. But little does she know, she’s found refuge in the arms of the very man who’s been sent to kill her.

Review by: Flavia

Oh my word what an awesome story. I loved it. Finished it in one day
This book had drama, suspense, murder, mafia ties and so much more stuff it was Awesome

Cassie Dalton works in a Italian restaurant to pay her bills and she's studying part time. Unbeknown to her the place she works at is actually a front for the mob. But whenever any of her classmates suggested it she always defended the owner because he was always nice to her. Until the night she witnesses a murder in the back of the restaurant. She tries to run but gets knocked over by a truck and loses her memory. And she has just been put on the mobs hit list

Vince DaMarco works as the manager at his uncle's restaurant and has always been attracted to Cassie but he's never made a move on her because she was too nice and he didn't want to drag her into his family's world
But now that she's placed on his Uncle's hit list he volunteers to kill her. So what does he do, he gets close to her and falls more in love with her than he thought he would be

So what does he do now, keep her safe, keep her away from his family. Run away with her start a new life or join his family's business, send her away and keep her safe that way? And how to handle it all with a brother that keeps pulling him back into the world that he is trying desperately to escape.

This book was so surprising, I didn't expect any of this. Because I didn't read the blurb, lol. But I was surprised by how much Vince wanted out of his family business and wanted something different. And all it took was one shy waitress to make him see what he wants the most in his life.

Definitely an awesome read and man I can't wait to see if Bobby will get a story!!
