Quarter Mile Hearts is a new adult novel that centers around racing. Growing up, Leigh's life has always been revolved around racing because of her dad and it has also impacted her significantly. When she meets Max, she feels an instant connection to him but certain events happened that led her to fleeing her town. Four years later, she has returned for a short visit because of her father's accident, and that is when she bumps into Max again.
I'm an adrenaline junkie, and so reading a story that makes my heart race was such a joy. I really love the racing aspect of the story as it made the story so much more enjoyable. It was also interesting to learn more about street racing. The writing was engaging. I've attempted to read this novel before, and I couldn't get past the first paragraph but I believe I wasn't in the mood for a new adult novel. Because reading the story now, I was captivated by the storyline as well as the characters.
Leigh and Max have such great chemistry. Yes, they had an instant connection but it wasn't instant love as they had their fair share of arguments. Actually, a whole lot of arguments. They're always quick with their comebacks. It was nice to see them changing as they started to be more open and honest with each other. Beth and Aaron were really great side characters. They were witty and likable. I would have loved to read their story in another book.
If you're looking for a light and fun new adult novel, I definitely recommend picking this book up. It was so much fun reading through and getting to know the characters. Quarter Mile Hearts was such a lovely read.

Have you ever met someone who you had crazy chemistry with? One touch is all it took to feel it?? After years of being away could Leigh finally admit what she wanted from Max?
I liked this book. It was hard not to like Leigh. And don't get me started on Max. The author did a good job creating character development which I think was a huge part of why I enjoyed it.

From beginning to end, I found this read enjoyable, well written and a story that held my interest.
Leigh Storm has to return to her hometown when her father is in a serious racing accident and is currently in hospital. This is the town that Leigh couldn't wait to escape, a town that held memories and people she wanted to forget.
Racing has always been a part of Leigh's life, the quarter mile, cars and speed gave her the passion and buzz for racing, but she also knows the hurt, loss and how it can rip a family apart so the older she got, the more she realised that she doesn't want it to mess with her life anymore.
Before leaving town years ago, Leigh had a love-hate relationship with the local badboy manwhore Max Morgan. The night before she left town, they connected, body, mind and soul! And memories of that one night have effected Leigh every day. But what she doesn't expect is the chemistry to still be there when she see's him once again.
These two lead character have a great connection, the humour, banter and the sexual tension held me to the story.
Max is tall, dark, handsome, no....scrap that he is SO FREAKING HOT! He is more mature than when they used to bicker to get a reaction out of each other, he is a racer AND he wants the girl who ran away.
Leigh is funny, she is ballsy and the kind of heroine I'd want to be, she swore to herself that she would not get involved or commit to a racer....but will she follow her head or her heart?
Jenny Siegal has written a believable novel with great depth. I loved the characters, the roller coaster they took us on, the twists and turns that were delivered and most of all, the authors writing style!
I'd love to see further books from the supporting characters who also captured my attention, so will be on the look out for these!!!
If you want something fast, with a strong heroine, a HOT AS HELL hero, with humour, heart and passion, one click this book.

Speed, determination and sheer want claimed this book. Racing the quarter mile meant more than fast cars and American muscle, it meant finding oneself and figuring out how to come back to a life that was trying to be forgotten. Coming back home proves to be more of a challenge than Leigh thinks and suddenly she’s racing for more than just a simple prize. She’s racing for not only herself, she’s racing to repair what was once lost or hidden with others. This could prove to be the biggest win or loss of her life.
Leigh, or Storm as she is referred to by those who know her best, is a complex character who thinks she has life all figured out. She ran from the small town where she grew up looking for “something’ to be different. She wanted adventure beyond what she was living. She had no idea that the people the surrounded her were offering her the adventure her the adventure of a lifetime…she just had to open her eyes to see it. “I’m happy. I smile because, for the first time in a long time, I feel happy and settled, at peace.”
Max… mister sweet, sexy eyes and tossed dark hair waiting to woo the pants off any woman that walks by, or is he?? He’s mystery and muscle and not nearly as dangerous as he seems. He can fix and car that he gets his hands on but the one thing he wants to fix more than anything, is afraid to give him the chance. With a saucy smirk he sets out to win this race and sets out to prove to her that sticking around their small town can be the biggest adventure of their life.
This book was sweet and exciting. The thrill of the race and all kids of American muscle on every turn of every page. Ms. Siegel did a good job of explaining the characters well and making me feel the thrill of the quarter mile as much as each of the racers must have. This book was well written and had minimal angst which flowed and represented well.

Jenny Siegel writes new adult
romance. When she's not writing (or entertaining two little terrors) Jenny is
glued to her Kindle, or plotting (also known as daydreaming) about hot tattooed
heroes that will sweep a girl off her feet.
