Synopsis:Book #2 in the Forbidden series... I thought he was the one. I thought we were headed someplace great. I didn't know anything. My mystery man is no longer such a mystery. He's still commanding and headstrong, playing my body and mind like an instrument, but I'm finding there are layers to him I never could have dreamed. What I've learned since that fateful night in his apartment has me reeling. Now, though, the truth has taken a backstage to other, more pressing matters. While I struggle to make a choice that will determine the direction of my future, lies that I thought had been carefully hidden away are coming to light. My head is such a mess I don't know what's up or down anymore. Will I be able to sort it all out, or will the life I've worked so hard to build come crashing down in a pile of secrets and lies?

I knew this book would be a roller coaster ride, but holy cow! Picking up where we left off in Dance for Me, Josephine has a choice to make. How do you choose between two guys who are so different yet the same in so many ways?
I knew I would love this book. I devoured the pages like my life depended on it. I've been anxiously awaiting this one so I knew I wouldn't be able to hold back. J.C. Valentine has created a series that I can't get enough of. Whether it's Josephine and her witty, sarcastic remarks, Rebel with his abrasive, controlling attitude, or even Ransom and his sweet, laid-back personality. I can't get enough. I knew this portion would be riddled with twists and turns to keep it interesting and all of us guessing! I just can't wait to see what is coming next. I know it's not smooth sailing from here just yet...

Holy Crap! What girl wouldn't love to have her pick from two gorgeous hunks?
In the first installment of this series: Dance for Me; We got to meet Jo, Ransom and Rebel. And begin a journey with them;
One that is full of secrets and trouble and maybe a few lies.
What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.
I love a strong woman's story and there aren't many as strong as Jo. But I also love that the author showed us her softer side. I felt as if I really got to know her a bit better.
And Ransom and Rebel? Well, in Dance for Me, I got the feeling that Rebel was an a$$ and only out for himself.
And Ransom was the softer, sweeter of the two. The 'good' guy, if you will.
But now?
I kinda got the feeling that Ransom can be a little bit of an a$$ too. Maybe a little manipulative too? Don't know, guess I'll have to wait and see.
But I also got to see a softer more sensitive side to Rebel that I've got to say I liked...Alot.
But he was still very alpha. (Yummy!) It was also good to have him open up and let us in a little.
It was great getting to see a little more into the guys' lives and where they came from. What made them.
But Jo is still just full of mystery and secrets. Although the feelings she has about herself and the way she makes her living; those feelings were explained very well. And kind of made me feel a little sad.
Lie to You is a hot steamy read that will leave you wishing there was just one more page to turn.
And cursing because you have to wait for more.
