This is my favorite book out of the Starcrossed Series. A random meeting between Liam Quinn and Elissa Holt had me giddy with what would come between them especially when that first meeting lead to an extraordinary night.
"I'm not saying goodbye," he says as he shoves his hands in his pockets. "Because this isn't over. One day, fate's going to fix this. Bring us back together, I believe that."
Fast forward to 6 years later where the gorgeously talented, well known, sexy actor, Liam lands the lead role with his beautiful co-star (and fiancé) on a Broadway show and Elissa is the production stage manager. Working along side with each other on another program has feelings stirring again between the two regardless that years has past; however, nothing can come of it. The angsty feels, tip-toeing/avoiding each other when they can, and just being nothing but friends was something that they have to deal and live with. When after-hours rehearsals are necessary for the show to go on as scheduled, things heat up and their secrets they have been keeping begins coming to light.
"Look what you do to me." He clenches his jaw, and it's like he's trying to show me how I affect him while trying to hide it from himself. "You're everything to me. You always have been."
The way the author wrote the story was brilliant. Painting the readers minds with how life is living in the spotlight and working behind the scenes was perfect. To add she filled it with jaw dropping twists while Liam and Elissa were already dealing with their fragile hearts and leaving me reeling with frustrations. The supporting characters, Joshua Kane and Angel Bell were the perfect mix to the story and making the read into much more. Prepare yourself for an emotional ride of love meet, love lost, love reconnected again, and brace yourself for hope that you get the ending you seek to have in their story.

This story was very engaging. It was full of laughter and emotion. Elissa and Liam will steal your heart. Elissa is a bright young woman who has followed her heart. She is great at what she does. She has a wonderful relationship with her bestie and assistant Joshua. They had me rolling in the floor in laughter. But Josh is also good for other things as well. Like putting exes in their place. Liam is a complex character. He is very easy going and laid back. But at the same time, he is caught between a rock and a hard place. He has always regretted leaving Elissa to pursue his career in Hollywood. When their paths cross again, he is toting around his fiancé, Angel. I loved Angel. She was very down to earth and hard not to like. The scenes between Angel and Elissa also had me in tears of laughter. I loved the description and detail in this story. Especially the back story and memories. Their connection and chemistry picks back up like it had not been severed for years. There is a little bit of drama thrown in just to keep you hooked. This book is a must read for everyone.

MEET Leisa:
Writing has always been a passion for Leisa, and even though she originally intended to be an actress, it wasn’t long into her time at drama school that she began writing plays.
Those plays were bad. Very bad. Well, her friends thought they were good, but that’s because they were always cast in them and any opportunity to be on stage was met with an obnoxious amount of enthusiasm.
Since then, she’s honed her craft, and several of her plays have been produced and toured throughout Australia.
These days, playwriting has given way to fiction writing, and Leisa’s debut novel, BAD ROMEO, was published through Macmillan New York in December 2014. The sequel, BROKEN JULIET was released in April 2015, and the final book in Leisa’s Starcrossed series, WICKED HEART, will hit bookstores and kindles on May 3rd, 2016.
The Starcrossed series has gained hordes of passionate fans all over the world, and the books have now been translated into eight foreign languages. Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet have also featured on international best seller lists in Brazil and Germany.
Leisa Rayven lives in Australia with her husband, two little boys, three cats, and a kangaroo named Howard.
(Howard may or may not be her imaginary marsupial friend. Everyone should have one.)
