JACKSON'S TRUST by Violet Duke► FMR REVIEW

ABOUT Jackon's Trust:

It’s no secret that sports analyst Jackson Gray doesn’t do relationships. What is a secret, however, is the reason why. Jackson’s life is . . . complicated. And it doesn’t help that his current hands-off “friendship” is with the cute-as-hell new sideline reporter he’s assigned to train. Turns out, not only is the woman damn sweet, she also knows as much about football as he does. Like it or not though, Jackson has to remind himself that sex is the only thing he has to offer . . . until now.

Leila Hart’s fast-growing friendship with Jackson is something she’d never risk, no matter how unbelievably seductive the reward. Becoming an NFL sportscaster has always been the goal, and thanks to Jackson’s fierce support and mentoring, it all finally seems within reach. Problem is, a girl can only take so much of that sexy-as-sin voice whispering dirty, filthy football stats in her ear before she loses all self-control. A workplace romance with Jackson is a disaster waiting to happen, especially for someone with big dreams . . . and secrets of her own.

Review by: Kim

I've read this author before and Violet Duke gives us another very lovable man in Jackson Gray.

As I read this book I kept thinking.."I gotta find me a Jackson."

He is so over the top sweet and charming. And he always puts others before himself. (I really don't think men are really like this in real life.) But hey it is fiction.

Leila did give me a little relief from the sweetness. Matter of fact I liked her sass very much. She knows how to stand up for herself.
As with all good romance books there's family drama, plenty of secrets that will make you wonder and a lot of hot, steamy, sexy times.
I think I fell in love with Donovan and Bennett more than just a little. Their comic relief was very much needed because this book is just so over the top full of sweetness that my teeth actually ached.
Jackson Gray will capture your heart and Leila will make you cheer, and the best friends will make you laugh.
If you're looking for a read that will make you feel good all over, then this is the one for you.

This is the first book of the new Fourth Down series by Violet Duke.
Full disclosure? I wasn't all that impressed. This was a friends to lovers story that was sort of typical how 2 people get from A to B in a relationship such as that.
Leila knew football, which I'm sure impresses men. She was the girl everyone thought about and wanted to be near. Beautiful, fun, loves to talk sports. Yep, instant hard on for men lol. Jackson is the lovable, charming swoon worthy man that doesn't really do relationships. Secrets? Of course! But whose secrets are more likely to destroy the growing feelings these two are feeling for each other?
Violet Duke sets up the series nicely. We meet Jackson's friends during the book, which I'm thinking might just be the characters to the other books in the series. Guess I'll find out when I read the next one!
