My God this woman can so delicately take your heart into her hands and carry it through a story. Some moments it's just cradled there in her palm beating on its own peaceful and happy while you read her words with ease. Other moments, you crave her fingers to gently massage it and help it beat because the plot line has become so intense you aren't sure that without her aide, your heart will beat on its own. Molly's stories are an amazing journey that I guarantee your precious heart can always manage, even when the subject matter challenges you as a reader. When the story is complete, and you are frantically swiping to search for more, only then will you realize that she has gracefully handed back your heart completely intact and better off.

To The Stars was a wonderful book that had me completely jumping and screaming for Harlow in some chapters and in other I was mentally high diving her courage and bad ass attitude. She was a courageously wounded woman who was willing to give up so that everyone else could have what they needed. That is until Knox Alexander came back into her life. Holy hot man around town!!!

I am a complete sucker for second chance love and this book was yelling my name. I was drawn in by the complexity and captivated by the courage. The characters were meaningful and full of purpose. I loved how fluidly all of the past characters from this series were involved in this book. They were extremely complementary and made box Harlow and Knox shine.

I have been a fan of Molly's work for awhile and really appreciate her style of writing. She is a clear and concise author who writes with passion and grace. I loved this book and absolutely recommend it!

Once you've read so much of an author's work, you tend to get a good feel on what they're really good at writing. MollyMcAdams is the queen of the emotional, ugly cry, heart twisting stories.
Harlow meets Knox when she's 15. They immediately hit it off. Only problem is that he's about to be 18. He vows towait for her. The minute she turns 18, he knows he'll finally have her. He never thought it was possible for her to go off to college and things to change. One phone call changed everything.
To The Stars was, at times, hard to read. Throughout a good majority of it, I was tense. As in, my entire body was strung up tight in knots. I found myself holding my breath in anticipation of what was to come. Even through all of this, I still couldn't bear to put the story down. I was on the edge of my seat, chest getting tight, ready to burst into tears at any second. This is such a fantastic story, but don't expect all hearts and flowers. It's not always pretty and nice, but it's all worth it.

I absolutely adore Molly McAdams and love her books. To the Stars was no different. I think the one thing that stands out for me with her books is that she has this ability to connect the characters to you.

When Harlow and Knox meet, she is a few years hunger then him. They agree that nothing can happen to them. Knox promises to wait for her, because how can you not when you meet the one your soul belongs to. Fast forward a few years after Harlow turns 18 and her heart doesn't belong to Knox anymore. But life can't really be that easy can it? Knox can't let his love for her go, and she wants nothing more then to get her heart to him.

So here is my one con about this story: about 75% of the book talked about abuse, and it's detailed. So if that's not your cup of read then move along.

But if you are like me and love Molly as much as I do then you'll pick this book up and think "wow, it feels like Knox is actually talking to me".

EXCERPT

“Happy birthday, Low. I waited for you.”
The instant his voice filtered through the phone, my body stilled and warmed at the same time. My breath came out in a soft, audible huff, and my eyes shut as hundreds of welcome memories flooded my mind.
I didn’t have to look at the screen to know who was calling. I would know that voice anywhere, and I should have been expecting his call. Not just his call. This call. We’d been preparing for and talking about this call for two and a half years now.
My lips and fingers trembled, and I almost dropped the phone as I tried to make my throat work.
“I waited for you”, played over and over again like a broken record. A broken record with the most beautiful music still coming from it.
Turning my head just enough to look over my shoulder, I eyed the guy shrugging into his shirt, and my chest ached when I faced forward again.
No longer seeing the dorm room I was standing in, I let our memories consume me. “I—” I took in a shaky breath, and my voice came out as a strained whisper. “I didn’t wait for you.”

There was nothing. No sound, no response—only the most heartbreaking silence I’ve ever endured.

About TO THE STARS:

In the second standalone book in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams’ Thatch series, Knox Alexander must convince his long-time love Harlow Evans that they’re meant to be together. He promised to wait for her. She told him he was wasting his time. Not waiting for him ended up being the biggest mistake of her life. When they were younger, Knox Alexander swore to Harlow Evans that he would wait for her to turn eighteen so they could be together. But that was two and a half years away, and Harlow couldn’t ask him to give up all the fun and thrills of going away to college for her. As the years passed, Knox remained a constant in her life but when her eighteenth birthday came around, Harlow’s heart belonged to someone else. Every day for the last four years, Harlow has been haunted by that fateful choice. And though he may appear unaffected by what happened in their past, Knox has always tried to fill the void Harlow left. But when he comes stumbling back into her life and refuses to leave, will Harlow finally let him into her heart…?

About Molly McAdams: Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
