Review by: Tatia

I've been on a Kristen Ashley kick here lately. I signed up to review Walk Through Fire before I had even read the other books in the series. I righted that wrong by binge reading all of them. Now, I can't get enough. While they're all fantastic stories, Shy and Tabby's has been my favorite from the beginning. Well, they've now been bumped down to #2.
In Walk Through Fire we get Millie and High's story. It's so beautiful, but it'll also break your heart. You know the love they have is one that is as true as they come. They belong together. Unfortunately, sometimes unwanted circumstances force you to make life-altering decisions that can change everything.
Millie fell for High, or Logan as she's always know him, with just a muttered 'Hey'. They were inseparable. They knew they were it from each other. Millie knew what she wanted. She worked hard for it, but when she finds out that she'll never get the one thing she truly wants, she knows what she has to do. To be willing to walk through fire for someone doesn't just mean standing by their side throughout whatever life brings, it also means making sacrifices so that person can have the life they want and deserve.
Logan "High" Judd has loved Millie from the moment they met. She takes care of him and loves him, accepts him for the way he is and the family he belongs to. She's the perfect old lady.
I was quite the blubbering mess while reading this. I've never been this emotional while reading an MC story, but this is Kristen Ashley we're talking about. She doesn't do mediocre. I imagine she writes with one goal in mind, to see how hard she can make us cry. She succeeded phenomenally. This is definitely my favorite read of the year. Ask me who my favorite couple is now and my answer is, without a doubt, Millie and High.

OMG!!! Kristin Ashley has done it again! I am so in love with this series. Each book just gets better. The story of Millie and Logan (High) had me on the edge of my seat. Millie and Logan fell in love in their youth and had a phenomenal connection. Millie took to the Club life like a fish to water. She was the perfect Old Lady. When their life did not head in the direction they planned, Millie “walked through fire’ for Logan and did what she thought was best. Now 20 years later, Millie is back. Logan has never gotten over Millie. The Club has never forgiven Millie. Millie is a completely different person now. She is a shell of her former self. Logan is a hardened man and he has a fight on his hands to get to the bottom of her story. I loved the relationships in this story. The emotion and detail in this story is phenomenal. These characters have a chemistry that is off the charts HOT. I am so excited to see where the next book will go!

LORD this book was HOT. I have loved this series even though I'm not a big MC book fan. But this series is so different from other's that I have read. I was really looking forward to this book more so than the others not saying that the others haven't been just as good.
When I first started this one I was a very intrigued with this couple and the past that changed their future. When push comes to shove how can these two people that still have off the charts all consuming love that hurts in the best way possible move forward without letting the past get in the way.
This book takes you on a journey through the most selflessness heartbreak love story I have read in a while. Despite the past heartbreak somehow they find a way to get past it all and face a new set of challenges that will test them beyond what they have ever faced before.
Through out this book I didn't know what was going to come. If they would be able to move forward or if they were going to fight for what they really wanted. Each other. But all that is threated by a outside force that nobody knew was a threat.
This is one of my favorite reads of 2015.

MEET Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
