"Expectation is the root of all heartache.” William Shakespeare
Keaton Harris always thought he would be reporting from the front lines as a hard-hitting news reporter. He never expected to become a best-selling romance writer. But the job definitely has its perks, like the long line of ladies who are eager to become his muse for a night.
He doesn’t expect to meet Quinn Ryan at a book convention. He doesn’t expect to be taken with her so quickly. She is beautiful. Smart. Quiet…and totally giving him the cold shoulder.
Quinn has no interest in becoming a Keaton Harris groupie, no matter how hot he is. She learned a long time ago that playboys make dangerous playthings. But when he proves to be more than she expected she finds herself weakening to his charms.
One week. That’s all it was supposed to be. One week to have an adventure, to be someone else. It was never supposed to go any further than that.
Maybe that Shakespeare guy was on to something.

Shae Scott has this ability of letting her words wrap around you, carry you through her story and gift you with a huge abundance of emotions. She is one author who knows how to write the feels, making her a readers dream come true.
As soon as I saw the cover of this book, I was immediately drawn to it and needed the story, it is just so delicate and beautiful.
I love the switch in this story, which makes it unique. I have read a few books where the lead female is the author, but in this book, Shae delivered a perfect role reversal. Keaton Harris is the journalist turned romance author and his character was so capturing, real and I felt everything he said. He is used to the attention that surrounds him, he has been known for his man-whore ways, canoodling with fan girls, and this story really proves that you shouldn't listen to everything you hear, you be the judge. He doesn't expect to meet this gorgeous girl who is about to turn his world around, but stops at nothing to get her.
Quinn, was a pleasure to read and days after finishing the story, I missed her character. The ever cautious woman, who just doesn't take risks at all, despite what her friend Lily thinks. Everything is planned, everything is safe and careful. Quinn is also a total book nerd and loves falling deep into the pages of a beautiful romance novel. Quinn goes on a trip with her best friend to San Fran so they can attend a book convention.
The connection between Keaton and Quinn is fast, it is hot and it is going to happen whether Quinn likes it or not. Keaton is captured by her beauty, her charm and just how intelligent she is. Quinn tries hard to give him the brush off, she tries avoidance but you can only try for so long. Lily plays a huge part in guiding Quinn, just to live on the edge a little, be someone different. The girls are only there for a week so why not be a different person just for that time? One week is all its supposed to be right?
This book is written beautifully capturing the right amount of depth, humour, sweetness and heat. As I said previously, Shae's ability to write the diversity of emotions is truly magic on paper.......see what I did there ;-)!! I cannot wait for more that this author brings to the table! READ THIS BEAUTIFUL STORY!!!! You will not be disappointed.

I love when you one click a book and it turns out to be an awesome read. I loved everything about this story. It's unique and stands out from page 1, I could not put it down.
Shae really tugs at your heart in parts of the book. She keeps the story flowing and interesting, emotions run high and low. A story not to be missed. It left me missing Keaton and Quinn after I finished. I wanted more...
