Ellie Anthony isn’t looking for love. She isn’t even looking for a man, but when Jax Mayson insists on keeping her and her daughter safe, she’s left with no choice but to trust him. Now she just hopes she doesn’t get hurt when she falls hard for a guy who’s known for breaking hearts.
Jax Mayson knows that Ellie is his BOOM the moment he sees her. When he finds out she has a daughter, he realizes he wants a family, and he will do whatever is necessary to keep both of his girls safe, even if that means facing the demons from his past.

Until Jax was nonstop sexy, swoony alpha goodness but what else would you expect from Aurora Rose Reynolds especially when it comes to the Mayson boys.
We saw Jax's boom when he met Ellie at the end of Until July and oh my what a boom it was.
From the moment Jax sees Ellie his over protective side kicks in and he wants nothing more than to have her in every way possible.
Broken in more ways than one, Ellie is skeptical and tries to guard her heart from the insistent and persistent Jax.
I absolutely LOVED this book! Everything about it was pure perfection. The character development and story line were on point. Aurora has this was of pulling you into the land of Mayson to the point where you are sad to leave when the book is over.
I loved how patient Jax was with Ellie. You could feel the love flowing between them before she even knew she loved him. Hope, Ellie's daughter, was such a delight and seeing Jax with hope, let's just say the ovaries exploded more than once.
The suspense part of this story was really good as well, kept me on the edge of my seat.
Visits from all of the Maysons had me smiling.
In true Aurora Rose Reynolds fashion the sexy times and chemistry flew way off the charts.
Nico used to be my favorite but that was Until Jax.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the hard core alpha with a huge heart. I would suggest you read Until July first so you don't miss anything!

When I receive a new Aurora Rose Reynolds book on my kindle, I go through three different emotions! The first being HOLY HOT DAMN LOOK AT THAT COVER, the second being BRING ON THE BOOM, the third and final emotion which is my favourite is LET'S SEE HOW FAST I WILL FALL HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS! Until Jax, well, it took me 6 pages! THAT IS ALL! By that 6th page, I was already squealing like a schoolgirl, grinning like an idiot and my heart beating so fast because I could just feel what the story was going to do to me and my heart.
Aurora Rose Reynolds has this way of making dreams come true through her words. You know when you do something you REALLY REALLY love and you just feel so happy, so complete, well that is the reaction I get every single time!
This is the story of Jax and Ellie. The book starts with Ellie in the hospital after the events that occurred in Until July, and Jax is there by her side wanting...NO! He is there NEEDING to take care of her. His protectiveness, his intuitions and feeling for this girl are like NOTHING he has ever felt before and he will do everything in his power to make the girl feel protected and to make her his! Ellie does come as a package deal, herself and her gorgeous daughter, Hope.
Ellie is vulnerable, but also holds this fierce strength after the life she has encountered. She is so sweet but also made me laugh with her sass, and I loved reading everything she said and fell in love with this beautiful heroine.
Jax is EVERYTHING I want to read in a book boyfriend. He is LOYAL, he is SEXY, he is PROTECTIVE, he is FUNNY. But he is also patient, caring and just so PERFECT for Ellie, my heart was literally bursting!
The story contains so much more than I expected. The suspense was raw and at times I would go into panic mode! Like legit, looking like that Minion with the warning light that flashes! But also the emotion that Ellie brings to the story is just so heartfelt, her background story made my heart hurt, and the things that she has been through so young really sold the deal that she is one of the best heroines I have read this year. Her daughter, Hope really brought the sunshine to the story with laugh out loud moments, plus the scenes where Jax and Hope have fun together as well as the heartfelt emotions really made me grin like an idiot!
The return of previous characters was perfect! And introduction of others who I hope to hear more about!
Now, at the end there is a P.S to Alycia? She gets dibs on Jax, therefore I hear by declare that I, Sam "CALL THE BIGGEST DIBS" on Alycia! Meaning that I get Jax too, because dibs is dibs right? A law abiding rule and all that jazz!
This book is everything I wanted and so much more! Aurora Rose Reynolds has once again delivered a BOOM! that I will return to over and over again!

I stepped into this book and immediately felt like I was missing something. Then I found that I had stepped into a series.
And even though this book is a stand alone: The characters interlink and unfortunately I felt a little lost though the whole book.
However, that isn't saying I didn't enjoy reading Jax and Ellie's story.
Ellie isn't strong, but she's getting there. All the author provided for me was small glimpses into some kind of personal trauma that Jax was instrumental in rescuing her from. She's also fiercely protective of the small soul that she loves more than life itself.
Because of the things she's been through, Ellie doesn't trust anyone. Not even Jax.
Jax is a former Seal. Who has seen something the males in his family call 'The Boom' in action. It took the author mentioning this several times before I finally got what 'The Boom' is. And for the sake of spoilers, I won't explain it.
But Jax has this with Ellie.
I felt a little sorry for Jax at one point because it seemed as if he were stuck in a situation that he had absolutely no control or choice over.
But then as the story began to really unfold, Jax is right where he wants to be. Where his heart is telling him is right to be. We get to read a story of a very strong minded man that makes it his mission to protect what is his.
Jax is so sweet and giving and more patient than any man would really ever be.
Having an insta family isn't something that Jax ever thought he'd want, but it doesn't take long for one little girl to steal what's left of his heart.
There's danger from more than one source stalking Jax and those he loves. There's also so many feel good moments inside the pages of this book that by the end you'll be covered in the warm fuzzies. Oh, and there's also some smokin' hot lovin' going on too.
Because I felt like there should have been a little more backstory included so new readers like me could understand everything that is going on, I'm giving this book 3 1/2 stars.

Excerpt: Until Jax
“Thank you again for taking me.” Pulling my eyes from the road for a brief moment, I look at Ellie. Her head is resting against the window, her legs pulled up onto the seat, tucked near her ass, and her arms are wrapped tight around them. One thing I’ve noticed about her over the last few hours is she’s always wrapping her arms around herself or tucking her body into a tight ball. It’s like she’s forcing herself to stay together.
“I told you I got you, baby,” I say gently, wanting more than anything to take her hand in mine, but every time I touch her, she freezes up like she’s waiting for me to strike out at her, and I would be lying if I said that didn’t piss me the fuck off. It does; it feels like a slap in the face every time it happens.
“I know,” she whispers, and the tears I hear in her voice cause a sharp pain in my chest.
Fuck.
“This is the turnoff.” Her feet go to the floorboard and her hands to the dash as she sits up taller, moving her face closer to the windshield. We drive up a long dirt driveway with forest and the occasional broken down car on each side. When we make it to the top of the hill, a singlewide trailer comes into view, with junk cars and garbage piled up out front.
As soon as I come to a stop, she opens her door and hops out before I can tell her to keep her little ass in the cab. I don’t even know how I’m going to deal with the range of emotions that have settled over me since seeing her for the first time.
“Fucking Boom,” I mutter, getting out behind her and doubling my steps until I’m able to reach her side, where I wrap my hand around her waist and pull her closer to me. She’s so fucking tiny that the top of her dark head sits right at my chest. So fragile, from her too soft skin to her petite size. And she’s mine.
