One thing I love about Ryan Michele's writing is she describes her characters enough to give you an idea of what they look like but not so much that you can't let your mind mold them into what you want them to look like.  Shy lays the foundation of this gorgeous tattooed biker and my mind fills in the blanks.

Tanner was an amazing character.  In the series thus far all the women have experience with the biker lifestyle or one similar.  Tanner has no experience but, she slide right in and fitted seamlessly with both the men and old ladies.  Rhys is a huge badass.  He is proud of who he is and doesn't hide it.  He's isn't afraid to take risks which he proves when Tanner comes into his life.

I loved that she added little chapters throughout from Dagger and Mearna.  Their story was a big part of Inflame and knowing what each of them was thinking throughout the book really helped round out the entire story.  I would have liked to see Tanner and Dagger's relationship developed more but with everything going on in the book I understand why it didn't.

This series is amazing. I love the addition of Tanner. She is very naïve when it comes to the world of the MC, but she gets with the program pretty quickly. She is a little old for the whole “surprise you’re my dad” thing, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Rhys takes to Tanner like white on rice. That relationship seems to form overnight. There is an age difference there, but really doesn’t matter to either of them. Rhys has a lot to do with Tanner’s MC education. Tanner quickly realizes that she better get on board if she wants Rhys. I loved reading about all the different relationships going on in this one story. Lots of love and reconnection. I really would love to be able to go back and read the story of her dad, Dagger.

Ryan Michele has a huge obsession with reading, which only came to life after her best friend said she had to read Twilight. After reading that series, her entire world changed in the blink of an eye. Not only was she sucked into new worlds and all of the wonderful words authors put down on paper, she felt the urge to begin to write down the characters that played inside of her head. In doing so, Safe was born. When she’s not reading or writing, she spends time taking care of her two children and her husband, enjoying the outdoors and laying in the sun.
