The complexity of this story and the absolutely superb way it was written took me by surprise. The storyline wasn't something I had ever read before and I was skeptical that I would like it. While some of the content of the story wasn't to my personal liking I can't deny that this book was written very well. As I'm reading my heart is yelling at me to stop while my mind is eagerly eating up everything Clarissa has written.
Angel was such a contradiction and obviously made who he was by the circumstances of his life. His constant back and forth kept me guessing at what he was going to do next. He was a wildcard who's emotions led his actions.
Sky had more strength than any character I've read. After what she's endured in her life the fact that she still finds it within herself to fight is nothing short of amazing. She was a truly inspiring character.
The writing in this book is flawless. It pulled so many emotions out of me, many conflicting. Between the duel pov and descriptive writing I felt like I knew both characters intimately and experienced their struggles along side them.

This book I have got to say is one that I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure what was going to happen. It took me a few chapters to get into it but I'm so glad I didn't give up on it. I'm not going to lie there were some parts in this book that I found difficult to read but that was to be expected with the context of the book.
When these 2 main characters finally reveal all their secrets they have to fight to keep each other. They have to figure out who they can trust and who they can't. When the end is near they not only fight for each other but they will fight for the one secret that one was willing to die for and the other was willing to kill for.
This is a book that will have you guessing what is really happening till the very last page. You don't want to miss how this one ends.

“You didn’t give me what I want either, so now I’m going to take from you what I want even more.” His tongue dips out to wet his lips, and he bites the bottom one for just a second. For some reason, my eyes zoom in on it, and they forget for just a second what’s going on here.
“You’ll like it … don’t worry,” he muses, stepping even closer so he can smell me.
