This story was amazing. I love how the characters are written. They are strong willed, stubborn, and passionate. I love that we still get to see a glimpse of Gabe and Ella.
Blake is not actively looking for Ms. Right. Not after what happened with Abigail. He just isn't going to get that happily ever after. Then Gillian lands on the doorstep and all thoughts of her not being Ms. Right go out the window. He knows from first sight that she is special and that he would do anything for her. But she is stubborn. Will he ever get through to her?
Gillian is a fighter. She has been abused all her life and she is not going to take it from a grandfather she didn't even know existed. She will take him up on his offer of a place to live for her and her little brother Justin, but that is it. As soon as she has the money, she is leaving.
Gillian doesn't have any clue how to act around people that don't want to hurt her. Compassion and love is totally new for her. Learning to trust is hard for her. But Blake is determined to get through to her. Slowly, she comes around and starts to lean on Blake for help and comfort. How did she survive all these years without him?
