Single Volume 2 by Lyra Parish - BLOG TOUR & REVIEWS

SYNOPSIS:

Sometimes love can be cruel. Not that Roxane has fallen in love but the one man she found interesting has crossed from her personal life into her professional one which makes life complicated.

Parker Williams doesn’t take no for an answer, not that Roxane would deny him anyway.
He has his own set of rules that must be followed while hers are being crossed through like a to-do list.

When a person falls in love, it’s supposed to be easy but it’s much more complex than either realized it could be.
Roxane’s control is slipping along with every opinion she had about love. This time, it feels different. This time, it finally feels right.

Slowly she realizes how much is at stake, but she is only concerned about losing one thing—her heart.

OK so this picks up where book 1 left off.

Roxanne and Parker are still fighting their attraction to each other. Add to that Roxanne dad has thrown a spanner in the works that will see her relocate to New York and her fear that her father is going to catch them out in a relationship, things are not looking to be easy for them. Oh and let's not forget an appearance from both exes that could threaten their future together before it even gets started.

Like book 1 there is lots of hot teasing moments and lots of steam, combined with Roxanne and Parkers sense of humour and this makes for a quick hot read.

Things in the fast lane are about to speed up and Roxanne and Parker find themselves hanging on for the ride of their lives.

This is a good book to settle down with a glass of wine for a quick fast paced sexy quick read!! Can't wait to see what happens in book 3!!

“I refuse to rush this. Let me fully enjoy you, babe”….YUM!! I really enjoyed this volume of Single. It was just as fun and flirty as Volume 1, but this time there was drive and meaning. Not only did I get to see the hard working driven side of Roxy, but I got to see her venerable side as well. I loved that Lyra dug deeper into Roxy’s character and let us see more of who she was in the past and why she is the confident sexy all business girl she is now.
The character development in this volume was awesome. I was introduced to Parker and fell in love instantly. His no nonsense alpha hottiness was what Roxy needed. She was so closed off and needed the right man to open her up and allow her to trust again. Seeing Roxy’s character develop and flourish in this book is what drew me in. I like volume 1 for its raw grittiness, but volume 2 had heart and passion.
This series is sexy and raw which is just the right combination. Volume 2 was a great look further into Roxy and her quest to always keep her life in order. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for more! I have come to really look forward to Lyra Parish’s books and have really enjoyed this series! I recommend this book…absolute 4 star all the way.

So if you read the first one we pick up where Parker just left Roxane satisfied in her office. Roxanne is starting to think that maybe she could “like” Parker. We know how Roxane feels about love. “Love is the equivalent of stabbing a dagger into a heart and twisting. Okay, maybe it wasn’t that dramatic, but it felt like it to me.” Parker talks Roxanne into taking things one day at a time. So with a trip coming up to New York, Roxane decides to do just that, and enjoy spending time with him, where no one is watching.

I loved this one almost as much as I loved the first one. I freaking love Roxane. If she was real I would idolize her. Beautiful, successful, and having a gorgeous man only have eyes for you…what woman doesn’t want that? Then add in the fact that she is funny as hell.

I can’t wait to see what happens with Rox and Parker in the next one.
