This is definitely a book about timing!!

Samantha & Lucas knew each other when they were younger but they haven’t seen each other or kept in contact for about 10 years. Samantha had a huge crush on Lucas but he never ‘saw’ her that way, so she moved on & married Marc.
Marc is a terrible husband and father and lives his own life as if his wife & daughter did not exist.
Even though Samantha is married, Lucas realises she is unhappy & he wants her for himself.
After he friendship with Lucas is rekindled, Samantha works up the courage to leave her husband. His indifferent reaction to his wife leaving him shows Samantha she has made the right decision and that she deserves the love of a real man like Lucas.

This story goes to show that when the timing is right, everything just falls into place the way it should.

Samantha and Lucas’s relationship goes from strength to strength & when Samantha decides to introduce her daughter Bella into the relationship it makes it complete for all 3 of them.
Unfortunately the road to happy ever after is never straightforward & Samantha, Lucas & even Bella suffer a few incidents along the way, throw in some miscommunication and it makes for an interesting and emotional journey for this newly formed family.

This book will hook you from the start, it is emotional in some parts & you may want to slap Samantha’s ex-husband in the head for his cold indifferent attitude towards his daughter, but overall it is a beautiful story of hope and a demonstration that everyone deserves a second chance at love and everyone deserves to be happy and feel safe and secure within their family & in their relationships and that when you find the right person it is highly possible to have it all!!

I absolutely enjoyed this book & will be looking to check out other work by this author!

I love second chance love and this book did not disappoint!!! I can’t believe that this was a debut novel!! It was cute and spunky and keep me completely in love with the story all the way through. Sam and Lucas were adorable to watch fumble around. This book had great flow and the story line was adorable.
Sam & Lucas had me swooning all over the place! I completely loved being able to watch them grow and flourish in their relationship. Sam was so moony over Lucas way back when and really thought he didn’t see her at all. Lucas was the perfect college advisor that not only noticed Sam, but walked away to follow his career. As luck would have it a relocation and a chance “liking” on Facebook would have these two rekindling the friendship they both thought was left in the dust.

Watching Sam and Lucas fight so hard for their lost friendship was amazing to see. Anyone that willing to go the distance deserves their happy ever after!! This book was a great light read that had me turning the pages so fast to revel what happened next. It was an easy read and I devoured it in one sitting! Total recommend and an easy 4 solid stars.

Excerpt:

“Shit, Sam! Baby Girl, are you okay?” God, please no. Calling me Baby Girl now was like sticking a knife directly into my already broken heart. Lucas lifted me off the ground to help me stand. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. I always loved when he did that, but now it hurt like hell. It was torturous, but I let myself feel him one last time. I wanted to remember the way he smelled, how his arms felt like home—but he wasn’t my home anymore, and it killed me to know that. I pushed out of his hold and looked at his face. His beautiful face. His blue eyes were still glassy, but they were red now. I didn’t want to believe what I saw. I wanted to look at the unshed tears growing in Lucas’s eyes and think it meant he really loved me, and he would never ever hurt me. I saw an empty cab coming up the block and raised my arm to hail it. I must’ve fallen hard as blood trickled down my wrist when I held my hand up. The cab slowed to a stop and I headed to the curb where it waited. I willed myself to stop crying at least until I got inside. Lucas grabbed my arm again, shaking his head. “You can’t leave like this.” His voice was cracking. “I need you, I love you. You know me, Sam.” I shook my head sadly. “No. No, I don’t.”
