Molly McAdams has done it again. I couldn’t get enough of this story. I first wondered about Eli back in her Book in Forgiving Lies where you meet First meet him. You couldn’t help at that point to wonder about him and his story. This book completely pulled me in. I couldn’t put it down when I got it. I got on a emotional coaster of a ride when I started this book. You can’t help but to fall in love with these charters. As I sit here writing this review I’m still shaking my head over these charters and the things they said and did.  I Love Molly’s work and this book is up there among my top favorites from her. I couldn’t get enough of this book and wish it would have been a full length but was overall very excited about this book. 5 star’s all the way
This book at some times completely frustrated me while at the same time giving me hope. There were parts that all I could do was laugh and I most definitely laughed. I felt for Paisley from the get go. How could you love your best friend while at the same time have him break your heart. Than enters a new man in her life and makes her question if she really could live without Eli being in her life.
Eli Doesn’t understand how he could have not seen that Paisley was in love with him for all those years and now has to fight to get her to give him a chance to prove that he really does love her. Not only because he is scared of losing his best friend but also his wingman.

Novellas are tricky. While they're just supposed to be a short story, I find I'm often left wanting for more, whether it be I didn't get the closure I was seeking to the story or that I just felt information was missing. That is never the case with the novellas Molly McAdams writes. She packs so much in to them that I feel like I just got done reading a full length novel.

Eli and Paisley have been best friends for twelve years. They know each other better than anyone, at least that stands true for Paisley. She knows everything about Eli, including that she's been in love with him for years. She never had any plans to clue him in to these feelings she has until a possible game changer came along. She knew that if she didn't tell Eli then she would always be left wondering "What if?" This confession changes everything, whether for the good or bad, you'll have to read to find out...

This is a great book to pick up in between reads. It flows so well that before you know it, you'll be turning the last page with a satisfied sigh, knowing that the story couldn't have been more perfect. It's never a question of IF I'm going to love MollyMcAdams books, it's a question of HOW MUCH I'm going to.

Changing Everything was my first book by Molly McAdams. Going into a book by an author that I've heard so many great things about, it was easy for me to be sceptical. But from the very first page, I was completely enraptured by the writing and characters. Paisley wasn't a hard character to connect and fall deeply into. She's relatable and reliable. I just adored reading from her perspective. On the other hand, Eli wasn't necessarily a struggle to love but I didn't like him straightaway. But at the same time, I loved him for that. He makes mistakes and undergoes some character development which makes him so much more likeable and real.

The relationship between Paisley and Eli are a major factor in this novella. The chemistry present between the two characters were strong and intense. I liked how Molly McAdams's writing slowly eases you into the story as she builds up their relationship from best friends to lovers. I loved how the main characters handled their problems and insecurities.

However, being a novella, I felt like the book ended a little too fast and abruptly for me. I craved and needed more from the story because of how attached I became. There was sort of a closure by the end of the book but it wasn't enough for me. Considering everything, this book was an engaging story with great characters and plot. I felt satisfied and happy by the end of it. A great series to start on for new adult lovers.

Paisley Morro has been in love with Eli since they were thirteen-years-old. But after twelve years of only being his best friend and wingman, the heartache that comes from watching him with countless other women becomes too much, and Paisley decides it’s time to lay all her feelings on the table.

Eli Jenkins has a life most guys would kill for: Dream job, countless women, and his best friend, Paisley, to be the girl he can always count on for everything else. But one conversation not only changes everything between them, it threatens to make him lose the only girl who has ever meant anything to him.

When tragedy strikes his family and Eli is forced to reevaluate his life, he realizes a life without Paisley isn’t a life at all. Only now, he may be too late.

Paisley has been in love with Eli since she was a teenager. One day she met a man who became a “game changer” and thought it was the perfect time to tell Eli how she felt, to see if he felt the same why. Because if not she was ready to move on with love. Eli didn’t exactly react the way she thought he would, not only did he not feel the same way but ended up losing her best friend in the process. And it took losing Paisley for Eli realize just what he had, but she had moved on.

First let me start off by saying that I love Molly McAdams so for me to not be able to rate this story high kills me. I liked the story of Paisley and Eli, I just think that it was a drawn out story for what I thought was supposed to be a novella. Maybe it was a short story but it didn’t feel that way.

Excerpt:
Oh the joys of watching the man you love get ready to take another woman home … especially when she’s one bad dye job away from being an Oompa-Loompa. Here’s a little snippet from CHANGING EVERYTHING for y’all! Enjoy!

“Pay!” “Oh no,” I breathed, and looked at Kristen to act like I hadn’t heard Eli. “If he makes me play pool with him while he makes out with another girl again, I will lose it!” “He’s smiling, at least he didn’t see you moping—and he’s walking over here. With her. Right now. He’s—” “Pay, we’re gonna head out, were you ready to leave?” I turned to look at them with a smile plastered on my face, but it was entirely possible I looked like I was grimacing. “Well … ” I began, but the girl in Eli’s arms held up her hand. She made a sickened face as her head jerked up to look at Eli, then back at me. Long seconds passed as she looked me up and down with her lips parted in disgust. “Um … ew! I’m, like, not really into that whole threesome thing. So gross. Yano?” I wanted to remind her that “you” and “know” were two separate words … but with the way she looked, I was surprised she knew that Eli plus her plus me equaled three and not the color burrito, so I kept that to myself. Eli’s face pinched together like he’d eaten something sour, and before he said something that would inevitably crush me even more tonight, I tried to speak his latest pick’s language. “Ohmigod, like, ew, right?” Kristen’s hand flew to her mouth as beer sprayed out, and Eli’s lack-of-amused expression let me know that he knew what I was doing. At least I didn’t feel like I was going to throw up anymore. “Threesomes are so way gross,” I continued, not like I’d know. But the girl nodded her head and pursed her lips. “So, like, is she gonna watch?” she asked, and it took everything in me not to shoot Eli a look that said: Really? This is what you want?

About Molly:

molly

Molly McAdams grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband and four-legged daughters. Her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling and long walks on the beach, which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. When she's not at work, she can be found hiding out in her bedroom surrounded by her laptop, cell, Kindle and fighting over the TV remote. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies, fried pickles and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm.
