I've never cried over the end of a series. Let those be my famous last words. I'm eating them now. I never understood when people said they cried over having to say goodbye. Sure, I hate seeing a series end, but it happens all the time. No big deal. That is until now. I couldn't stop crying. It wasn't even because I read a sad part, but because I knew that with every word I read, I was that much closer to reaching the end and having to say goodbye. I've never been as emotionally invested as I was with the Holly Woods Files. I've laughed until I cried, been angry and frustrated with many of the characters, and held my breath over what I knew was about to happen, in Twined Bond more than any of the other books. I feel like we not only got to know these characters but that they've accepted us all into their already large family. They invited us into their world that is full of mischief.l and chaos. We got to meet Nonna, who for as much as she is pushy and controlling, she does so out of love. It's impossible to stay mad at her, even if she is the one that bought the insane, karaoke singing , pirate bird, Gio. Brody, Trent, and Dev. Noelle's brothers that are protective of her even though she thinks she doesn't need it. Bek - this story wouldn't be what it is without her. Noelle and Drake. Two characters that couldn't be more perfect for each other. I feel like I'm losing my best friends. Trying to say goodbye to them is impossible. I can't do it. They've changed the way I look at every book I read. Drake is the perfect amount of alpha. Anymore so and Noelle wouldn't be able to put up with him. He balances out the crazy that Noelle feeds off of. She's as scatterbrained as they come, especially when she's working on a case. He's the calm to her hurricane. They're both fiercely independent, but when you put them together, they're a force to be reckoned with.
This series has no competition in my world. Droelle will forever hold a special place in my heart and on my kindle. I'll have to get the entire series in paperback so that I can physically touch them as well. I need them everywhere! The perfect amount of drama and angst to counter balance the sweetness and love that is scattered throughout. Emma Hartgave us everything we could ever want. A series that seemed like it would never end only to end too soon (in my eyes). I'll be forever grateful to her for gracing us with their existence.

I started the Holly Wood series from when the first book Twisted Bond came out. I followed the lives of these characters and became attached to them throughout the process. Twined Bond was a catch 22 for me. I was so excited that there was yet another story to dive into but at the same time was upset because I knew once I got to the end of it that would be it. Twined Bond is the end of the series.

Emma Hart knew just how to end it too. She brings the live story of Noelle and Drake to a close in a way only she can. Adding in Noelle's sassy attitude and Drakes bossy ways. Throw in that twist Emma so loves to do and BAM you not only have another great story you have one hell to end of the series.

So sad to see this series go but enjoyed the characters and storylines all along the way.

“Tell that to my ovaries.”

“I think I did last night when I hugged Casey.” He winks at me. I playfully shove his chest. “It made me think. That's all.” I slide my hand down his stomach and, in a small voice, say, “I think you'd be a great dad.” He smiles, pressing his lips to mine. “And you'll be a great mom. When you figure out how to be an adult.” I hit him again. Much harder this time. He laughs, stepping back and moving to the coffee machine. “Stop getting your panties in a twist over every little detail, okay, babe? Take everything one step at a time and let me help you. Instead of freaking out in your office alone, call me.” “What if you don't answer?” He shrugs, hitting the button on the machine. “Leave me ranty messages and I'll come with cupcakes,” he says over the gurgling of the coffee spitting into his mug. “And just like that, he makes me forget why I was ever worried about marrying him,” I tease. He simply looks over his shoulder, smirks, and throws me a second wink. And an idea flies through my head. A crazy, stupid, ridiculous idea. The moment the coffee machine stops, the kitchen fills with silence. One that makes my idea buzz loudly. “Drake.” “Mhmm?” He turns around, still stirring sugar and cream into his coffee. “What if we did it? Got married. Eloped but kinda didn't.” “You're confusing me now, sweetheart.” I'm confusing myself. But still... “We're registered, right? We both have each other’s rings in the safe in the closet. Why don't we just...do it?” He stills, but his blue eyes swing from his mug to meet my brown gaze. “Are you suggesting we blow off the ceremony, grab our rings, and go see Father Luiz right now?”
