The tough times don’t define you. It’s how you
respond to them that does.
Liv
Six years ago, my world was turned upside down with the ring
of my phone and a gravelly voice on the other end. For months afterward,
I felt like I surely wouldn’t make it through another day. Then my
daughter was born. A bundle of joy, bright enough to light my dreary
days, with a glow that warmed my aching heart. I’ve lived for her
ever since.
As I stand here, staring at the man who looks so much
like him, but is still so different, I find myself contemplating
living for me, just for a little while…
Kyle
Honorably discharged from the army after five tours to
Afghanistan, I’m back in my home town and working as a Basic Combat Training
instructor.
Falling in love with Liv was never part of the plan, but as
time goes by and wounds are healed, the wall erected between us slowly starts
to crumble. But Liv isn’t the type to give in easily. Then I
remember I’m an American soldier.
I will never accept defeat. I will never quit.
It’s time she realized she’s mine.
“Deep down, I know two things for sure. One, my
heart, head and gut all direct me to Kyle. Two, I’m going to continue
ignoring them.”

What a refreshing storyline to read in today’s market. This is a story about moving on, being open to the possibility of new love
and accepting change into your life.
Olivia was young when one day her life changed forever. It was a no going back kind of change. But, she has made the most of her life
and can honestly say she is happy & has no regrets.
Kyle was also affected the day Liv’s life changed and has always played a pivitol part in her life up until now. Now things are going to change again.
What I really love is that once these characters make any decisions they run with it & see it through. There is no half baked effort involved at all.
Kyle & Liv are obviously the main characters but there Is a support character, Celia, who I feel is just as much of an important part of the story.
She is Kyles Aunt but really is almost more like a mother figure to both Kyle & Liv. She really is the one person who’s opinion matters to them both.
This is one of those books that can make you cry but also make you laugh just as fast. It seriously has all the feels as well as that feel good vibe to it.
The sex scenes are off the charts and the entire story flows effortlessly. Kyle and Liv’s love is new enough to survive the times but timeless enough to
whether the changes. Theirs is really the love of a lifetime.
The feelings are real, the emotion if real and the journey is unforgettable.
I absolutely adored this latest release by Kasey Millstead. She has shown she has both the talent and the diversity to bring us a love story that is not only
very different to her other works but is also something a bit different to everything else on the market at the moment. It is what makes this book a standout
of 2017 for me.
Love Love Loved it!!

So many tears. So much emotion. Kyle and Liv left me a wreck after finishing their story. I can not even begin to imagine what kind of hell these characters have been through. Not only that, they also denied themselves from acting on their attraction to each other. I often place myself in the characters places as I read their stories. I feel a deeper connection to the characters and the stories seem more real and emotional. This story rocked my world on its axis. I loved every minute of this emotional journey and recommend everyone read this book!
