Mia and Jared are about as opposite as you can get. But they seem to connect on about the deepest level I have ever read about in a romance book.
I absolutely love them as a couple. Individually they both have challenges to face but when they are together, there is nothing they can’t overcome.

Until about a year ago, I had no clue who Freya Barker was but after reading her first book I was hooked and she quickly became one of my go to authors.
This book is perfect example of why. She has taken 2 very different characters and made them work. They are complicated and complex but a perfect match in
every way.

The support characters in this book are just brilliant. There are no other words to describe them. They keep both Mia and Jared grounded and on track.
The romance is beautiful, the sensual scenes are steamy but not over the top & the pure love is unmistakable. There are lots of laugh out loud moments to
lighten some of the heavier parts of the story. The internal dialogue from Mia is at times priceless and had me giggling. Jared being in his own head came across
as broody at times, but the minute Mia is within his sights he softens and immediately tunes into her state of mind.

The flow of the story is seamless and the plot/storyline is interesting and held me captivated fright from start to finish. When I got to the end I really was
left wanting more. I honestly could have read about Mia and Jared for another few hours.
This is the 1st book in the series but it is not a cliffhanger. By the end of the book everything is nicely tied up and you know exactly where everyone stands.
I cannot wait to see who the 2nd book in the series is about.

I am so glad I got to read this book & I would recommend you get your one click finger out for it!

I love this author! Her books are always real and down to earth. They are also mainly slightly older characters which puts them closer to my age than most books. I loved every minute of this book. The characters are so well developed and engaging. The storyline hooked me in immediately and didn't let go till the very last word. Jared and Mia are two characters that are dealing with real world problems and pressures. Their chemistry is incredible, a slow burning fire. These two complement each other so well. A definite must read. I am excited to see what she has in store next.

Freya Barker inspires with her stories about 'real’ people, perhaps less than perfect, each struggling to find their own slice of happy. She is the author of the Cedar Tree Series and the Portland, ME, novels.
Freya is the recipient of the RomCon “Reader’s Choice” Award for best first book, “Slim To None,” and is a finalist for the 2016 Kindle Book Awards for “From Dust”. She currently has two complete series and three anthologies published, and is working on two new series; La Plata County FBI—ROCK POINT, and Northern Lights. She continues to spin story after story with an endless supply of bruised and dented characters, vying for attention!
