This is one of those books where you really don’t know whether to drool or cry!
Luke is the epitome of the perfect man. Once you get to know him that is. He is super hot & extremely sure of himself.
He can have any woman he wants with the click of his fingers.
He has secrets.. And lots of them!
Callie is super sweet and caring and she is in love with Luke. When it looks like she is finally getting somewhere, her world is
turned upside down and she finds herself in a situation she could never have dreamed up..
This story is a bit different to Nina Levine’s Storm MC series. There are some serious tones and moments but there are
also some really funny and endearing times as well. The love Callie & Luke grow into is almost tangible. You can feel it radiating off the pages
as you are reading along. It is all consuming. The problem with all-consuming love is that the slightest doubt or questioning can take it away
in the blink of an eye.
From page one I was fascinated to see how it was all going to pan out for Luke & Callie because they are complete opposites. On the surface, they
have nothing in common & they argue, a lot! But opposites attract & boy do they attract! The sexy times are steamy & at time sensual. The banter
between Luke, Callie & the rest of the characters can he heated but is also loving & entertaining. At times, it feels like you are watching a movie in your head.
Nina Levine has brought this story and her characters to life in a way that it is almost like you are reading about long lost friends. You just want the best for them &
you want to defend them to anyone who dares to pick on them or give them a hard time. The support characters are great & in all honesty, if I had to pick a
mother in law role model, I would hands down pick Luke’s mum. She is hilarious & just plain gorgeous. I want to be a mother in law like her when I grow up!!
You will see what I mean by that when you read the book!

Here’s a taste of Luke & Callie…
I stand and move to him. His back muscles tense when I place my hand on his shoulder. “I want to get to know everything about you, Luke Hardy,” I say and he spins around to face me.
His eyes search mine. “You already know the important bits.”
“No, I don’t.” I rest my hand against his chest. “I don’t know the secrets you keep locked in here. They’re the important bits.”
His intake of breath is sharp and he wraps his hand around mine. His other hand slides around my waist and he pulls me close.
Oh, shit.
No.
Too close.
But his lips brush across mine before I can move out of his embrace. His hold is tight and his message is very clear—he’s in charge here and if a kiss is what he wants, a kiss is what he will have.
He surprises me, though, and angles his face away from mine. Still keeping hold of me, he says, “I know we’re doing the friends-only thing for awhile, but a man’s got needs, Callie. If you put your hands on me, you better be prepared for the consequence of that.”
I’m pretty sure my eyes almost pop out of my head. I knew Luke was bossy—oh, boy did I know—but this is a whole new level of bossy. His deep voice vibrates along my skin, scattering goose bumps, while his eyes penetrate my soul. Those intense, green eyes of his will do it to me every time. They’ll cause me to forget everything I’ve ever said or thought and just cling to him for the ride.
He dips his face again and his mouth finds mine. The moment our lips connect sparks of desire burn through me. I’m so damn hot for him and I can’t control myself. I push my body hard against his and open my mouth to him.
He tastes like whiskey and I make a note to buy some just so I can remember this moment forever. I’ve never loved whiskey before, but it may just be my new favourite drink.
This kiss will forever live in my mind. Luke doesn’t simply kiss—he possesses. He takes me mind, body and soul.
In this kiss I find hope.
Hope that he will fight for me.
For the us we both want.
