DEVASTATION
Moving back home wasn't anything I ever wanted.
But after enduring the worst,
Going home was the only answer.
Being back is everything I thought it would be...
Awful, isolating, a constant reminder of what I lost.
And the last thing I need--or want--is more reminders of my past,
Especially Bryant Wood.

GUILT
That's all I feel--all I can see when I look at Savannah Turner.
I want to hold her, feel her, love her,
And thank her for what's she given me.
But I can't show her the gratitude.
The relief.
The gift she's given me.
I won't.
It'll ruin everything.
A secret I must keep--a secret that could break her.
Shatter her.
Destroy her.
All over again.

Review by: Leeann

How much heartbreak can a person endure in one lifetime? Read this book,  and find out!
Savannah has literally had her world ripped apart, and this is in the 1st couple of pages. Now she needs to start over and adjust to her very different than she ever imagined life.
Bryant has been in love with Savannah for practically his whole life. But he never In a million years thought she would give him the time of day. Now they are older and wiser and she is finally seeing him, the real him.

This is one of those stories that you need tissues for from the first page. The complexity of the story and the characters and the way it all gels together is emotional, heartbreaking and joyous all at the same time.
The characters are well developed and they do come full circle by the end of the story.  This story has all the ingredients, sexy, lust, angst, emotion,  hope and love,  to keep you reading and leave you wanting more.

This is the story of two people who have been to hell and back through slightly different circumstances but have a bond that this never in this lifetime will be broken. It is a story of resilience and overcoming life's hardships and challenges to be able to move on and have a happy and fulfilling life, even when you think you can't or don't want to.

This book is very well worth one clicking. No matter how hard life can be, just reading this book you realize that there is always someone in the world worse off than you. The author deserves every single one of these 5 stars for bringing the characters and their story to life in such a believable way that has you feeling all the feels and leaves you wanting to invite them in for a cup of tea and a chat!

I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

5 Stars

“You are my sunshine…”
Breathe Peyton.
“My only sunshine…”
Fight for mommy.
“You make me happy…”
Breathe baby girl.
“When skies are gray…”
You can do it Peyton.
“You’ll never know dear…”
Please. Please Peyton breathe on your own.
“How much I love you.”
Don’t you die on me baby girl.
“Please don’t take my sunshine away.”
Beep. Swoosh…..Beep. Swoosh…..Beep. Swoosh.
I sit here next to her hospital bed holding her little seventeen-month old lifeless fingers, so delicate, so small. I think about her first birthday and how adorable she was with cake all over her face, her tummy and in her hair. Peyton is the happiest little girl and so full of life.
Correction.
She was so full of life.
