Sienna Diaz is everyone’s favorite “fat” funny lady. The movie studio executives can’t explain it, but her films are out-grossing all the fit and trim headliners and Hollywood’s most beautiful elite. The simple truth is, everyone loves plus-sized Sienna.
But she has a problem, she can’t read maps and her sense of direction is almost as bad as her comedic timing is stellar. Therefore, when Sienna’s latest starring role takes her to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park she finds herself continually lost while trying to navigate the backroads of Green Valley, Tennessee. Much to her consternation, Sienna’s most frequent savior is a ridiculously handsome, charming, and cheeky Park Ranger by the name of Jethro Winston. Sienna is accustomed to high levels of man-handsome, so it’s not Jethro’s chiseled features or his perfect physique that make Sienna stutter. It’s his southern charm. And gentlemanly manners. And habit of looking at her too long and too often. Sienna has successfully navigated the labyrinth of Hollywood heartthrobs. But can she traverse the tenuous trails of Tennessee without losing her head? Or worse, her heart?

I love the Winston Brother's and Jethro's story was amazing!!! Jethro is the type of character you can admire. Sure, he had a rough past, make some not so good choices but he bounced back from those and survived and end up doing better for himself than what he thought he could do. Sienna is another character to look up to. On paper it seems like she has a lot going against her in the Hollywood industry, she a woman, she's a Latina, she is a plus size woman but what I loved about her is that she owned it!!! She was just a very strong character and that translates into being a very likable character.
I found myself laughing several times through out the story! Especially with Cletus and his Cletus-isms! There needs to be a whole but just on those because hes a great secondary character and I can't wait to read his book! I loved all the witty back and fourth banter between all the characters. It makes for great entertainment. I enjoyed the story line. It was a lot of fun to read. Hollywood meets back country mountain man. The story was written very well. She keeps you engaged in the story without the lag. This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the previous book. Because there are a lot of characters, it helps to get yourself familiarized with them so you don't get lost. AMAZING BOOK!!!

This was my first venture into the awesomeness that is Penny Reid. I had heard great things about her books and had vowed to try them but then never found the time. But with a title like Grin and Beard It, I knew this is where I would start and what a start!
These characters are amazingly funny, charming, sexy, funny, goofy, devious, and did I mention funny? I mean what do you expect in the backwoods of Tennessee with character's named Jethro and Cletus. Who's reputations are as memorable as their names.
Let's not forget about our leading lady and America's sweetheart. Who loves herself and does her best to see the good in those around her. She is funny all the time but, when she's nervous she becomes hilarious. Watching her fall for the backwoods good ole boy was so much fun.
With so many wonderful characters, scenarios, bloopers, and crazy family members we weren't lacking for storyline or excitement. The only thing about this book that left me wanting was all that talk about Daisy's Donuts. Where can I get some?
