Blurb:

Never in a million years would I have pictured myself as an axe-wielding, dragon lady, chopping up multi-colored flannel shirts into my very own plaid mulch. But here I am, chopping away my frustrations.

It all started when my brother, Paul, convinced me to go on one last family road trip across the Mother Road with him and my dad.. Just like old times, right? Wrong. What Paul fails to mention is his best man, Porter, will be joining us, who just so happens to be my childhood crush and the man who broke my heart four years ago.

What is supposed to be a fun, family bonding experience across Route 66 turns into a war of pranks, awkward moments and bathrooms full of dirty flannel shirts and day old beard clippings. Paul’s know-it-all attitude and Porter’s devilish charm brings me to the brink of my sanity on my seven day trek across the United States with three bearded men in a small 1980’s RV.

Ok, so this book seriously needs to come with a warning “ It is so funny, you may pee your pants from laughing so hard!”.
From page 1 I was in hysterics.. I laughed so loud that I drew baffled stares from strangers in the shopping centre!
Then there was a sudden change. Yep by the end I was sobbing with real tears and everything… it was that emotional!
Marley is such a character. She literally has no filter and with all the things her brother does to her it is no wonder. The dialogue between
Marley and her family is sometimes cringe worthy but because it is so damn funny it adds a whole new dimension to their relationship.
Porter is reserved & only really speaks when he has something to say, and boy when he does have something to say it is to point and
usually just as funny as what Marley and her family come out with.
I have never read anything by Meghan Quinn so I had absolutely no expectations whatsoever when I put my name down to review it.
I am so glad I was picked to read this book because it would have been a sad thing to have missed out on it.
This book has all the feels and the comedy aspect just makes it that more exceptional. The characters are amazing, even the support characters,
and the way they evolve is both seamless and eventful (you need to read the book to get what I mean by eventful) all at the same time.
I would highly recommend everyone checks out this book & If this is a taste of Meghan Quinn’s writing talent I will most certainly be checking out more of
her work in the very near future!

This is one of the most Laugh out loud funny books that I have read in a long time. I laughed so hard that I had tears rolling down my face while people looked at me like I was crazy. This is one of the most refreshing books that I have read in a long time. It was defiantly a change of pace for me to read something on the lighter side of romance. The family in this book is so off the charts corky that you cant help but to see some of the things they do and say in own family. One thing I can say is that Meghan has taken a very different route and chance with this book. It is so different from her other books that you wouldn't even know it was her. That chance paid off big time. One of my favorite lines in this whole book is "Marley has her hand over her mouth, covering up her laughter, while she sinks down into the bench seat. Sweat breaks out over my upper lip and the urge to pee my pants is crushing. Slowly, a tidal wave of the Bern-an-ator floods my space, his eyebrows on their own island, twisting uncontrollably, and his nostrils flaring, large enough to fit Paul’s ‘pretty’ dick inside. I’m fucking terrified."
This is one book that I will be going to revisit. I would recommend this book to just about anyone.

I was so excited when I first saw this book!!! Come on, the cover alone is gorgeous!!! I read the synopsis and it sounded super fun! I dove in and I was laughing from the first page. This book is hilarious and if you are not familiar with Meghan Quinn's work, she write some really funny stuff! The McMann family goes on this road trip along Route 66 in this 1980's RV and the adventures and pranks that go on...I can't even put it into word...how do you come up with this stuff??? You will be laughing from beginning to end!

I loved Marley! She was such a fun character! She is smart and funny with a quick wit! And Bernie was a riot! I loved Porter too with his beard and flannel shirts!!! Paul...while he was entertaining at times, I did find him to be a little annoying. There was just something about him that was hard to connect with. But as a whole, the McMann's would be one fun family to be a part of!

This is a falling for the brother's best friend kind of book and it was great! It was full of laughs and a few teary eyed moments. There were a few steamy moments between Marley and Porter but overall pretty tame. I have read a few Meghan Quinn books and this is a good one! I highly recommend if you want something cute, sweet, and HILARIOUS!!!

About the Author:

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if "It's Raining Men" starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing... enter her first novel, Caught Looking.

Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
