Sketch by Laramie Briscoe • RELEASE DAY BLITZ & REVIEW

My name is Devin, but everybody calls me Sketch. I opened my own tattoo shop two years ago, and I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’m going to be able to give my wife everything she’s ever wanted. I’m going to be able to take time off and spend a day a week with her. In fact, tonight, I stopped and grabbed some wine, got her flowers, and those chocolates she likes.

What I wasn’t prepared for was to be met at the front door by her carrying her sh*t out.

She loves me, but she’s not in love with me anymore. What kind of bulls*it excuse is that? I’ve left her alone too often, I’ve been completely focused on one goal, and apparently she’s sick of waiting.

So here I stand. Half the man I was, p*ssed as f*ck, because while I was busy making a better life for us, she was under the impression I was leaving her lonely. I know one day she’ll see what I’ve been doing has been for us, and when that day comes… She can damn well come crawling back to me.

Review by: Heather

Written in the first person, in the male point of view is something we have never seen from Laramie Briscoe....until now.  When an author tries something know with their storytelling or writing style, it is a huge risk and can be hit or miss. In the case of Sketch, the risk paid off! Sketch and Nina's story is a second chance story like no other. The characters make you want to hug and punch them at the same time and the story line is fresh and sexy mixed in with major feels and angst. Sketch really is something special.

I have a soft spot for broody, moody and sexy as hell tattoo artist and Sketch took me by surprise. His tough exterior is only just a little bit of why he is so amazing, peel back the layers and there is a man who is vulnerable and somewhat broken and extremely complex. Nina pissed me off a few times, however, she was completely relateable. I got her in a way I don;t normally connect with a female character. The chemistry between Sketch and Nina is so strong the reader feels every push, every pull, every crack of the heart and every fluttering butterfly.

Sketch is Laramie Briscoe's best book to date! A hot, emotional second chance story of love, forgiveness, and redemption. A perfect mix of romance, sexy times, and humor. Sketch & Nina's story is one that has stayed with me long after I read it! I highly recommend that readers get sketched by one of the hottest book boyfriends ever in one of my favorite books of all time! If I could give this book a billion stars I would.

Sketch and Nina have been together for 14 years, they are married and as far as Sketch is aware, Nina is happy... Right up until he gets home one day just as she has packed her bags to leave him.
This story is one that a lot of couples go through and Nina and Sketch are now in a position where they need to either fight to save their marriage or sign their divorce papers and walk away for good.

The development and growth of these characters is obvious as they re learn to communicate with each other and face their fears head on. They are learning the art of give and take and finding common ground under the hardest of emotional times.

By the time you get to the end it feels like they have come full circle and the changes in their lives are enormous.
What I like about this book is that is is very different from each of the other series Laramie Briscoe has written. You can easily tell the difference in her writing style for this book. It stands out, no question!

If you are a Laramie Briscoe fan then you will want to check this out and even if you have never read any of her books before you can read this as it is not part of any of her other series so you won't be confused about who the characters are.

Well worth one clicking!
