Ok, so I love a good steamy romance novel, but I love it even more when the writers sense of humour shines through & the book makes me really, really laugh!! K M Golland has certainly met all of my expectations with Attraction!!
This is a story about two people, Carly & Derek, who are in their early to mid 30’s who single and quite happy to remain that way. They are both just looking for a bit of fun & nothing more. It takes them a while to actually sleep together but all the fun they have in between is laugh out loud hilarious!
When things do heat up, boy do they heat up!! They go through a few ups and downs together and find their rhythm. There are a few times that Carly panics at the thought of being in a relationship, but her best friends are able to make her see sense & Derek knows what is going on with her & never lets her get away with it.
Although for the most part this story is funny, there are some serious ‘hold your breath’ moments which had me seriously freaking out for Derek & Carly, but they soon get back on track. This is one of those stories where thing aren’t always as they seem. Carly learns very quickly to go with her gut instinct & if something seems ‘off’ then is probably is.
This book is chocablock full of fun, lust, love & drama. It is also full of surprises you don’t see coming & lots & lots of Aussie isms!! I can’t say too much without giving anything away, but I seriously started reading & couldn’t put it down till I finished it was that good!!
If you are looking for a book that has you laughing one minute, holding your breath the next & then looking for a fan to cool yourself off, then I highly recommend you grab yourself a copy of Attraction!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Haven’t we all thought that at one point in our lives? Carly sure did. Being single and in her 30’s, she tried so hard to keep her life easy, free from drama and enjoying as much no strings attached sex as possible. Her life was great.
Enter Derek. Firefighter-Derek. Drop-dead-gorgeous-Derek. Brown-eyed-dirty-talking-
No matter how much you control your life things tend to happen that throw your perfect life for a curve. Making Carly question everything she thought when it came to relationships and love.
What can I say, as a single female in her 30’s it was very easy to relate to Carly, thinking your life was heading in one direction, making sure that it was heading a certain way, controlling every aspect to keep life simple and drama free. Only, it never really works out that way.
And seriously, how can you not fall in love with Derek. Hot, muscled, tatted and a fire-fighter? Sign me up! He could put out my fire anytime!
