My 1st impression of this book was that Bryce was a spoilt rich kid used to getting what he wanted when he wanted it. Turns out there was a little bit more to the story..
Tessa doesn’t have it easy and when she finally cracks she find she is in the right place at the right time. She suddenly finds she is getting back on her feet and things are finally looking up.
I have to say, Bryce’s family brings new meaning to dysfunctional. The 1st time Tessa meets Bryce’s dad it is a pretty horrific moment. She certainly makes a lasting impression on both his father & his stepmother!
Once Bryce decides he cannot live without Tessa in his life he becomes relentless which unfortunately means Tessa becomes a target for one of his past indiscretions.
As the story progresses you see there is more going on under the surface and not everything is as it seems. This is a man who is struggling to keep all the balls in the air and is desperately trying not to drop any of them.
There are lots of twists and turns and you cannot help finding yourself hoping this couple makes it their happy ending! There were a few loose ends I would have liked to have seen tied up but hopefully they will be addressed in book 2 of the series!
This was an overall enjoyable read.

Fantastic! I adored the storyline and the characters. Bryce and Tessa are incredibly well developed characters. I never felt any disconnect between them and the story. The words seemed to flow effortlessly. The plot twists and drama kept me engaged in the overall story. And Charlie!! I absolutely adored him.
