Every time I see a new release for Lila Rose I am freaking ecstatic. And man the Hawks are my boys.
This book was another amazing story from this author
Fang and Poppy became friends when Poppy was the new kid at his high school and she was being tormented by the 'cool kids'. He decided they were going to be best friends, and they were
Until Fang said something stupid and thought that she didn't hear, but she did and he hurt her. Unbeknownst to Fang something else happened that made Poppy pack up and leave. Cutting all ties with him and he didn't understand why.
Poppy thought by leaving she was protecting Fang and her father when she left home. Now she is back to help her dad out with her mom being sick. That also means she comes face to face with the man she was once in love with. But Poppy is also in danger from a biker she went out with on a few dates. Now he wants to claim her and will do everything to keep her, especially when he sees Fang hanging out with her. And to make matters worse he is part of the Venom MC club, Fangs old club.
Fang will do everything to protect Poppy. He finally got her back and he's not giving up on her again. But what will he do when he finds out the real reason she left? Will he be able to live with himself and will he be able to stop the psycho who's after her now.
This book was everything I expect from Lila Rose and from a Hawks book. Danger, violence, steamy sex scenes and lots of drama, so freaking good. I hope this series never ends.

This story was a little more subdued than most of the Hawks MC books. I thought it was a very nice deviation from the norm. I have read every story in this series. It was nice to take a break from MC business to focus on the inner most workings of the two main characters. Don't get me wrong, I am usually so hooked on the drama of club business. But this story was refreshing in a way. Fang and Poppy have so much history. So much that has happened to them, together and apart. I love the second chance romances and when you throw in the attitude and dirty talk that is an MC member? Priceless!
