Jane isn't entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn't she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes---or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire---maybe do exist.

Except Brock Wellington isn't anyone's dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk---even if it was just a façade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it's karmic retribution that he's tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can't have. But while they can't have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . .

"Wow, a hero and good with words. I bet you're a regular handful, aren't you?" This, this is how this book started and just continued throughout. Cute, witty and sarcastic comedy between al of the characters. There was banter that had me laughing and just feeling light while I read.

Modern day Cinderella, Jane has so much going on. Trying to keep her fathers business afloat while battling her sisters continued verbal and emotional assault is enough to drive anyone crazy. Jane is just Jane, easy going and simplistically happy. Does she want more out of life, sure but she's content. Until a dress malfunction and a shoe mishap leaves her staring into the eyes of a mystery man that has her swooning. Brock can't stop staring at this adorably sweet and perfectly imperfect woman. He's smitten from first glance.

This book was unexpectedly quirky and adorably sweet. The characters were full of fun and snarky banter. That alone had me swiping fast because I couldn't wait to read what Brock's twin brothers or Jane's wicked sisters would say next. They added just the right amount of subtle angst that is modern day fairy tale needed. Cute story, cute idea and funny characters. RVD can do no wrong!!!

The Bachelor Auction is a modern day spin off of Cinderella!
Jane meets her Prince Charming Brock when he rescues her from a fall and saves her from complete embarrassment...nothing a pair of Manalo Blahnik's can't make u forget about! Their story is full of  modern day romance, with Cinderella drama!
I love Rachel Van Dyken's book and she delivered as she always does! This book was a fun and easy read! The actual twist is will Brock have to marrry the highest bidder to please his grandfather or can Brock and Jane date and try to have something more??? Brock was the perfect book boyfriend and I truly did wish them to have a happily ever after! No spoilers here ladies!!! Grab you copy to find out where and how it all ends!

"Cinderella never had to deal with this crap"

Welcome to a modern day Cinderella story.
Meet Jane, over worked and under appreciated. Jane meet Brock, the billionaire playboy that gets to be auctioned off for charity. A fairy godmother comes just in time to "help" get these two together. But is Brock really Jane's modern day prince or is he just some work-aholic billionaire looking to let off some steam?

Rachel has this ability to wrap funny, witt and romance into one story. She does it seamlessly too, the story just flows so well.

Look, I enjoy modern Cinderella stories, I really do. For this one, I had a really hard time connecting to the characters for some reason. The heroine really wasn't a heroine, but looking back at Cinderella's in the past I guess they really weren't either. Maybe I want a modern day Cinderella story with a independent kick ass heroine and a average Joe, not some prince (or billionaire). We are all searching for our happily ever after, for our own prince.

Witty, charming, and light hearted this book was a quick easy Cinderella story.  The character's were relatable, a ton of humor was woven into the story, and we get a visit from Grandma Nadine.  All the things you need to make a good story.

Jane and Brock were cute characters but I found them to be a little boring.  They weren't easily worked up but when they were they kind of sputtered out.  I would have liked to see more passion from both of them.

Rachel did a great job with misdirection in this one.  I was very focused on my dislike of certain characters and trying to figure out the real intentions of others.  I liked the surprises that came to light when all these character's were addressed.

While I enjoyed the book and will definitely continue with the series I didn't love this book as much as I expected I would going in.
