From New York Times Bestselling Author, Penelope Douglas, comes the latest New Adult romance of love, hate, and everything in between...
"We were perfect together. Until we met."
Misha
I can’t help but smile at the lyrics in her letter. She misses me.
In fifth grade, my teacher set us up with pen pals from a different school. Thinking I was a girl, with a name like Misha, the other teacher paired me up with her student, Ryen. My teacher, believing Ryen was a boy like me, agreed.
It didn’t take long for us to figure out the mistake. And in no time at all, we were arguing about everything. The best take-out pizza. Android vs. iPhone. Whether or not Eminem is the greatest rapper ever…
And that was the start. For the next seven years, it was us.
Her letters are always on black paper with silver writing. Sometimes there’s one a week or three in a day, but I need them. She’s the only one who keeps me on track, talks me down, and accepts everything I am.
We only had three rules. No social media, no phone numbers, no pictures. We had a good thing going. Why ruin it?
Until I run across a photo of a girl online. Name’s Ryen, loves Gallo’s pizza, and worships her iPhone. What are the chances?
F*ck it. I need to meet her.
I just don’t expect to hate what I find.
Ryen
He hasn’t written in three months. Something’s wrong. Did he die? Get arrested? Knowing Misha, neither would be a stretch.
Without him around, I’m going crazy. I need to know someone is listening. It’s my own fault. I should’ve gotten his phone number or picture or something.
He could be gone forever.
Or right under my nose, and I wouldn’t even know it.
*Punk 57 is a stand alone New Adult romance. It is suitable for ages 18+.

I was just absolutely blown away by this book! The storyline was like something I've never read before. It was captivating and complex and I didn't want it to end.
There are so many different pieces to this puzzle but the author flawlessly pieces them all together! The characters were fantastic! Misha had this his own crazy story and then Ryen had her story but then put them together and BOOM!! It was just explosive! I'm still wrapping my head around everything that happened!
This had one of the most interesting storylines I've ever read! These two characters start off as pen pal but continue to keep their connection as the years go one. Through certain circumstances they are brought together. There is a lot of stuff happening in this book but I found every detail to be substantial. And all the connections made through out the book not only caught me off guard but made sense to why they happened. From the beginning of the book, all the way to the end was surprised. It kept me guessing and had me gasping because I was so shocked.
Overall, this is a MUST READ! This is a top favorite book for the year! It just blew me way with the characters, the story, and the writing! Highly Recommend Punk 57!!!!

The words on these pages aren't there just to create another book. They mean so much more than that. They may not mean the same thing to everyone. They may not even mean anything to some. But to those that these words do touch, these words will mean the world. This book is on a whole different level. The way these words were put together, it's art at its finest. I was so consumed by it all. The way they fit like a puzzle. I couldn't get enough. This is one of those stories that you find yourself getting lost in, not realizing how much time has passed, not realizing that the world outside is still moving while you're delving deeper into this story that is holding your heart captive.
Ryen and Misha have a different story. What started out as pen pals evolves over the years into a relationship that is read, not seen. They have no idea what each other looks like, just that they're best friends. They tell each other things that no one knows. Until one day, Misha's letters just stop. But Ryen never gives up. Ryen won't ever give up. Then Masen comes in to the picture. While Masen can't replace Misha, he fills the void that Misha left.
Lies are told. So many that once the truth comes out, it's hard to decipher what's the truth and what was just another lie. Was anything real? You'll question everything while piecing together parts of another puzzle that is intertwined in it all.
Penelope Douglas weaves a story that I couldn't get enough of. My heart was beating fast, my pulse was skyrocketing, my eyes bulging out of my head, and I found myself holding my breath at times when I would put another piece of the puzzle together. It's mysterious, it's sexy, but it's also touching. You find yourself wishing the girl would just be herself, stop hiding behind the facade she's built over the years.
"No one does you better than you."
I'm ruined by this book. I'm going to be rereading it numerous times because i can't get enough. This is a story that people won't be able to stop talking about. I know I can't stop thinking about it.

Penelope Douglas is brilliant!! That was made obvious with books like Bully and Corrupt but, she's taken it a step farther with this one. She's always written an amazing anti-hero someone you shouldn't love but do. She's does that again with Misha but she's takes to a whole other level with Ryen.
I loved Ryen her character was so honest and refreshing. I can't even explain how wonderful she is without giving things away but, this book was worth reading for her character alone.
When I think back to my years as a teenager, about who I was and who the people around me were I see Ryen, Ten, Lyla, Trey, J.D., Misha, and Manny. These are really people you would find in a classroom then and now. The things that occurred in this book are happening in schools everywhere. The fact that she wrote a book so true to life is inspiring.
Every part of this book was perfection. I loved every second of this brilliant book.
