REIN IN by ANNE JOLIN

Willow Bay Stables, Book #3
Genre: Contemporary Romance

— SYNOPSIS —

Aurora Daniels is the bleeding heart of her family. With a gift and a passion for helping to heal others, she has a legacy of kindness and gratitude—a modern-day saint.

Every Sunday since she turned eighteen, Aurora has driven three hours into the city of Edmonton, Alberta, where she volunteers at an equine facility that rehabilitates troubled youth by working with horses. With their increasing success rate, the facility is expanding to foster violent parolees in hopes of a more effective release into society.

Assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder—that’s what it says under the name on his sheet. Rhys White is released on good behaviour and promises to remain under contract for community service at the Equine for Hearts facility for a court-ordered period of twelve months.

Willow Bay’s saint may have stumbled across the one sinner who can’t be saved from himself.

Will Aurora be able to rein in Rhys’s quest for revenge before it’s too late? Or will she spend the rest of her life loving a man behind bars?

REIN

After reading the first two book sin this series, I was more than ready for Aurora’s story. I love the dynamics of this family and the closeness that they share. I also love that they are the kind of people to not judge a book by its cover. Aurora and Rhys’ story is emotional, yet fun. They have a deep connection that will get them through anything life has to throw their way. The storyline was addictive and gripping, keeping me hooked until the very last word. Looking forward to what this has I store next.

Change Rein, Book 1

This story will leave you breathless. These characters are incredible, so well developed. They are each complex in their own ways, but so simple in others. London is reeling from what she has just been through, and the last thing on her mind is a man. Branson knew London as his the moment he saw her picture. Now he just has to convince her. I fell in love with London and Branson immediately. Their story was gripping and addictive. I love the London’s family dynamic. That bunch will have you doubled over in laughter in no time.

Aurora (Love the name), she's soft and sweet. She always gives the benefit of the doubt and she never judges. Good or Bad, Aurora let's the people around her life show her which they are. Then she treats them accordingly.
Wish real life worked like that.
Her huge heart is a never ending source of concern for her family. Especially Owen who takes protective older brother to a whole other level.
And this time I was wondering if maybe Owen was right.
Working in a place that surrounds her with men who aren't what the law or her family would call good, Aurora none the less jumps in with both feet and begins a new chapter in her life.
Only she doesn't count on becoming fascinated with a man who's more comfortable in the dark than he is the light.
When Rhys loves, he loves fiercely. Because of that and being young, he made a choice. One that stole a lot of years from his life.
He's got a chance for a new start now.
Except he didn't count on a blond haired angel bouncing into his life and making him think about things. Making him want things that he knows he doesn't deserve. And he knows the danger is never far away from him.
This book tore my heart out and then put it back together again.
The blind faith that Aurora shows Rhys is so touching.
Y'all need to read this book. It really is an amazing tale of second chances.

Change Rein, Book 1

Together London and Branson make a hot hot couple.
This is my first by this author and I am so glad I discovered her.
Change Rein to me was an insta-connection kind of book. Branson saw London in a newspaper article and just knew that she was the one.
And the same for London. She not only fell for Branson's horse the second she seen him, but the man himself left her a little breathless..(sigh).
This book has sweet times shared with family and Owen and his big brother attitude made me giggle more than once. And London's daddy made me want to hug my own dad.
Branson isn't your typical business man, he's also one sexy cowboy. But his determination to meet and make London his also puts her and her family in danger.
Sweet, sexy times and intrigue...this book has it all.

— EXCERPT —
“Hey.” I smiled.

He didn’t smile back, simply lifted his chin in my direction and shoved his hands in the front pockets of his ripped jeans.

I crossed my arms over my chest and made a clucking sound with my tongue. “Looks like your all mine this afternoon.”

Shoot.

Somehow that had sounded different in my head then it did out loud and my cheeks flushed what I imagined was a bright pink. Of course I’d tricked him into spending the day with me, but it wasn’t something I planned on outright telling him just now.

The corners of his mouth twitched, like maybe he’d considered the idea of smiling but again, he did not speak.

“Right, okay then.” I filled the silence.

Pushing off the truck with my butt, I walked in the direction of the two double doors ahead of us. Lucky for me, he seemed more focused on what I was doing then he was at reading the sign on the door we were currently passing through.

“Table for two.” I told the hostess when we stepped inside.

“Let me check if we have any booths available.” She smiled at us and left to do a walk through of the restaurant.

Rhys started to back towards the door and a hint of panic bubbled up in my throat at the thought that maybe he really would run away from me, again.

“If you leave now you’ll embarrass me.” I blurted.

It was low, almost the equivalent of threatening to cry, but it worked.

He quit retreating but his eyes fell away from me and he just stared at the floor. The black equine for hearts tee that he’d cut the sleeves off of seemed to somehow make his arms look longer inside the small entryway.

I guessed for the first time that he was probably somewhere around six foot three.

The hostess returned and grabbed two menus before promptly leading us to a booth in the back of the restaurant.

No sooner had my butt grazed the vinyl did the questions erupt from his otherwise silent demeanour.

“What is this?” His voice tumbled across the table like a freight train.

Not angry, just demanding.

“It’s a date.” I deadpanned, flipping my menu opened.

— ABOUT THE AUTHOR: ANNE JOLIN —

I was born and raised in Ladner, a small farm town just outside Vancouver, Canada.

I never expected to be an author. Writing was something that snuck up on me and rooted itself into my life. It was beautiful to discover that love, and I’m truly grateful to say I’ve found my passion.

If I could leave y’all with one thing, it’s that life’s far too short to not live it out loud. Drown in your passions, hold on tight to the things that inspire you, and chase your dreams relentlessly. I can promise you without a doubt that you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.

Mad love,
Anne Jolin
